I’ve just come back from a 4 day trip where we stayed on Islay and visited Jura. Absolutely brilliant and there’s something so surreal about Jura. I’ll definitely be back

My ancestors, the Black's were from Jura... and 5 brothers of that family immigrated to N Carolina in the 1700s. I would love to visit

In 1739 My Grandfather Archibald Buie Arrived in America. He was born on Jura. I look forward to visiting.

Some of my ancestors, the Buies, immigrated to North Carolina from Jura. I'm planning a trip to Scotland for next year, and I will definitely be going to Jura while I'm there. Can't wait!

My Relatives John Clark was from here and moved to Cumberland, NC with his wife Catherine McKissick in the 1700's. Hope to visit some day. His Parent's side seems to go back pretty far on the isle.

Hi! My ancestor's line is your John Clark's brother, Alexander who married Flora McLean who was from the Buie Family , whose families ended up in Caldwell County NC...I read online that there are more Scottish people living in North Carolina than in Scotland....and most are named Clark (or Clarke), all related to each other in one way or another. Nice to meet you!
