I do enjoy watching y'all explore these whiskys. I have only had the 14, which was my first scotch ever. I found it to be exceedingly pleasant and encouraged me to try more scotch whiskys. Thanks Colin and Malcolm.

As the SMSW journey continues the palate expands...it's no longer just a smoky burning experience; but now pleasant with such a range of experiences, we fear we may never complete the journey. Until then, we'll try until we die. Cheers mate!

I'm not sure I want the journey to end. Isn't the enjoyment of the journey, with all of the twists and turns, gives one excitement of the unknown or the somewhat familiar. For without the journey, where would we go.

My favorite Port Cask ever was a Springbank with full port maturation, second place would be Kavlan Solist Port Cask... The old label Quinta Ruban is my favorite Glenmorangie, but have outgrown the distillery and have not tried the new one.

Currently, my favorite Port cask is the Spey Tenne Tawny Port. I hear you on Glenmo; I'm really considering one of their high end bottles (of course the Signet remains very highly thought of around here) to see what that experience is like, but my wallet keeps asking me to reconsider. Cheers!

@@TBWD I wouldnt spend the big bucks on Glenmorangie either. Glen Spey is an interesting choice!

Outstanding as always guys. I like port a cask finish a little more than sherry cask so yet another bottle added to my list to look for. Thank you and keep up the great work. Cheers...

Aye! The port finishes/casks have been really catching my attention lately. Cheers!

I've been very curious about Port Cask thank you for pointing the way.

Cheers! The Quinta Ruban is not a bad entrance to Port at all.

When I think of port I think of Arran and Balvenie, but Glenmoranigie Quinta is a fine pour. Especially the 12 year I haven’t tried the 14 yet

Yes! the Balvenie 21yo Port is excellent, though now quite pricey!! For me the 12 is slightly more oily than the 14. Cheers!

Another fabulous episode… Malcolm needs to start taking notes… 😅 The 14 QR is an excellent dram, and probably the best value in the Glenmo Core Range, in my opinion. Add several drops of it to a dram of Allardice and you will encounter an amazing - and otherwise highly priced by others - blended dram. The Glenmo 10 is now going to 12, and the Nectar D’Or is going to 16. A couple other age upgrades are expected. I guess they are seating on a lot of liquid, bad for cash flow, hopefully good for us fans.

Oi! thanks for the info on Glenmo's upcoming shift in the core range...my wife really enjoys the 10yo; need to stock up! We also, at times, experiment with 'homemade' blends...and of course there's always the infinity bottle; though I keep finishing mine; it's known as the 'finity' bottle. Cheers!
