He died relatively months after this interview he was put in the worse hospital, anything in NY is garbage, Gosh he died from complications with colitis? he couldn't sht because of the meds for rheumatoid arthritis, my grandpa had the same diagnosis PLUS prostate cancer, my grandpa lived until 95, we treated his colitis with food refined grade coconut oil, and we got clean as a weasel, Glen was in my opinion left to die and there's even rumors of elderly abuse by letting him soiled in his bed( security guard whistle blower wasn't seen again at the hospital) , i don't get what's the deal with his wife's lawsuit if she put him there and she didn't knew he was being treated that way, nah all she's doing is getting good pr to sell more records because posthumous records sell even more than when the singer is alive.

A very underrated guitarist. Check out the live performance of "Midnight Flyer" from 1974, and the beautifully understated lead guitar he composed and played on the studio recording of Timothy B. Schmit's "I Can't Tell You Why." I can't think of another guitar solo that so perfectly complements the lead vocal. Most fans don't realize that Don Felder in concert was just duplicating what Glenn Frey created in the studio.

This Dan Patrick interview was in April 2015. He died in Jan 2016, less than 9 months later. I saw The Eagles in concert in Little Rock 3 months after this interview, in late July, 2015. The Little Rock concert was their next to last before Glenn died (Last concert was in Bossier City, LA). Glenn died less than 6 months after the Little Rock concert.
