I have this album on cassette. Anyone remember those? Or I'll even go WAY back. Anyone remember 8-Track Tapes? Damn I'm old. lol
@woman10269 жыл бұрын
defiantone I love this song - "downloaded" it from Napster - remember those good ole days? And the 8-tracks? I wore out quite a few of those on some favorites!
@defiantone85569 жыл бұрын
Debbie Hinchey Yea the 8-Track I wore out the most was my Suzi Quatro ones. She is simply an amazing talent. Cats Size is my all time favorite song followed by Stumbling In & Devil Gate Drive. And she can even do country with 2 miles out of Georgia. All these great songs can be found on youtube. Two more great songs I love by Suzi are Starlight Lady which is a great song to listen to under the moonlight with that special someone & the other is Hollywood. I remember growing up every home it seemed had Carol King's Tapestry album, Linda Ronstadts Living In The USA, The Who's Live At The Fillmore East, & Lynyrd Skynyrd's One More From The Road live set. And mix in some James Taylor & that was the era I grew up in, with some absolute GREAT music from some absolute GREAT artist. Back in those days we would all go to the roller skating rink on Friday nights & then pile as many as we could in the trunk of the car & go to the drive in on Saturday nights while only having to pay for 2 tickets. lol Then on Sunday we would all go out to the lake for some serious fishin & then go back & do it all over again the next week. I'll tell ya, today's generation have no clue on what they missed, cos back in those days life as Joe Walsh of the Eagles would say, WAS GOOD!!! It really was an amazing time back then. And now look where we are. Reduced to that punk'y Justin Bieber crap. Is it any wonder I break out my Suzi cds? sigh......
@wrotenwasp8 жыл бұрын
+defiantone Sure as hell do still have cassettes,,,a shitload of em and still play em. I have this very cassette that I bought new from harmony house back in 1983...or was it 1982? Hell, that was 100 years ago. Cassettes and vinyl rock. Analog is king. Check out Joe Walsh "Analog man". He's still rockin like Don Henley
@defiantone85568 жыл бұрын
+wrotenwasp Yea, I know what ya mean. I don't know how many cases of cassettes I own. I done lost count. lol I gave all my vinyl to my nephew when the cd explosion came. I only have 2 albums left. A rare Lynyrd Skynyrd 2 LP set & one of Michael Hayes & The Badstreet Band. (He was a wrestler, since retired now.) Who knew that vinyl would make a come back? lol As for Don Henley, I love pretty much ALL of the 70's music. Growing up back then, it seemed every house you went to, had The Who's Live at the Fillmore East, Carol King's Tapestry album, a James Taylor album, a Kiss album, Skynyrd's One More From The Road live 2 LP set, & Linda Ronstadt's Living In The USA album, with her on roller skates in those shorts. Since I wasn't here in the 50's when they had all that great music from the Platters, The Crest, Del Shannon, The Big Bopper, & all those great talents, I always tell people that since I wasn't around back in the 50's music wise, my 50's were the 70's cos so many great bands came from BOTH those era's. And Id like to add 1 more album we all had back in the 70's remember Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album? Seems we all had that one too. Just some absolute GREAT TALENTS back in those days. What about Abba? And what about my all time favorite female rocker of ALL TIME, Suzi Quarto. She's still a HOTTY even today. Joan Jett tried to steal her act, but for those of us who know our music history, know that, & we know better, cos there's only ONE & ORIGINAL FEMALE ROCKER IN LEATHER & that's Suzi Quarto. She flat out NAILS IT!!!
