@stephanieknows1668 Жыл бұрын
@@debbygordon1432 I was just listening to a program with the comedian behind the robot skeleton Geoff on Craig Ferguson's Late, Late Show. He was talking about how when he used to do stand up comedy, he'd do these impressions of the people he grew up with in a poor section of Cleveland, his neighbors, people he saw all the time and interacted with. He told stories and put on the different personalities and voices, and he wasn't making fun of anyone; indeed, he was depicting "home," people he cherished. He said sometimes blacks would come up to him and say how perfectly well he was able to capture the way things were where he was from. BUT, these days? I'm just paraphrasing here, but he said it was different, how the things he said then could now be called "racist." You simply weren't allowed to say certain things anymore. Yes, being outside in someone's yard just hanging out was recognizeable, and those clothes - love the bell bottoms and tube tops! But hearing the song now, after just listening to that comedian, what struck me was how free and spontaneous those people all appeared. It doesn't look to me like they're each worried, thinking, "I wonder if it's okay that I'm _____ " (Fill in the blank.)

I say to you this...by visiting here to listen to this song is one way to remove what is referred to as an "Ear Worm." 😶🌫️ **NOT AN ACTUAL WORM!!** This euphamistic term is used to explain a song, tune or melody, that is in a repeated pattern inside of your head that only you can hear. The music and/or vocals..for some psychological reason, is a type of brain glitch that is playing inside your head involuntarily of any given song or tune, to what seems like forever..because it is in your head playing over and over, sometimes day and night nonstop, sometimes very unfortunately for many days.. as if it were on a continual loop and can at times, be very maddening to know that this song or tune will not slow or relent for whatever the glitchy reason is..as it continually plays on, that despite using recommended methods-try as you might, to treat this weird symptom that just won't go, but it is sometimes only until your brain very and rather randomly, makes that glitch to stop 🛑 👈😉 or to completely disappear within. Those who have suffered this glitch of this sort, have suggested imbibing of alcohol or do strenuous exercise for 30mins. that is said that these type of solutions will drive out the earworm, but of those suggestions arent always feasible or even doable to use, for the many who suffer this particular condition of that seemingly is of a singular nuisance, but harmless' brain obsession.😮 No worries however, there a few ways to rid your head of a repetitive song or tune, that if you can and are able or willing to just sometimes-wait it out, until your brain randomly kicks it out. Sometimes after a good night's sleep. But by your listening to the real song and totally singing aloud to the song at the same time it plays-is one way to get rid of the earworm-and just why it works this way, is unknown to me at this time..but often enough, when this happens to me, this method is what I use to get the tune out of mine head. Another way is to sing the stuck song in your head..sing as much of it that you know, the lyrical words to it and sing it in acapella (no actual music audio, just your voice) and sing it loudly while your brain will handle the instrumentals inside your head..do this by keeping time within and then, start singing out just like you are the frontman singer-you belt it out loud n proud-plus' let yourself enjoy this method where possible and by doing this meditively and physical type of singsong (brain patterning) by singing the song coupled with and repeated, to yourself aloud as many times as you're able to..the earworm is said to leave your head, on its own (maybe it gets tired of your singing?Lol) rather voluntarily. 😊 I do hope these suggestions can help you, as I've used them for myself and for me, they've helped to rid my head of some of theee' absolute worst of songs or irritating jingles to have to hear inside my head, on repeat for as many days and it was enough, that I actually reached out to get relief from this psychological music phenomena that is otherwise affectionately known as, #TheDreadedEarworm 😊

Hubby driving down the small lane beside the river, Richard in the other front seat, girls in the back heading to the dam. We had the windows rolled down & Black Betty came on the radio. We blasted that song. Richard (friends' husband) started playing spoons on his leg to this song. Later on we all danced at the dam.... but the memory has lasted all these years. Today Richard died. According to reports, the song was first formally recorded in 1933 by U.S. musicologists John and Alan Lomax. It was performed 'a cappella' by convict James “Iron Head” Baker and a group of prisoners at Central State Farm, in Sugar Land, Texas. It was an old song in 1933. It is immortal and timeless.
