Glenn Greenwald talked about his book, A Tragic Legacy: How a Good vs. Evil Mentality Destroyed the Bush Presidency. He argued that President Bush's good vs. evil world view won him supporters after September 11 but has failed to sustain support for his Iraq and other policies. Topics included world perception of the U.S., efforts to spread democracy, and terrorism. Lee Casey commented on Mr. Greenwald's book and spoke in support of President Bush. After their presentations the participants responded to audience members' questions. I'm amazed at Greenwald's restraint on vocabulary and tone when confronted by blatantly dishonest people like Lee Casey. However, Roger Pilon's question was really too much and we could feel Greenwald boiling inside. I wouldn't be able to contain myself and would just call the guy the "greatest hypocrite in the world". He accuses Greenwald of lacking specific elements in his denunciations of Bush, but fails to point to specific denunciations lacking elements. Pure hypocrisy!
