Greenwald, a Pulitzer-prize winning journalist who sparked a worldwide debate over freedom of speech, provided the keynote address during Secrecy Week, a week of events sponsored by the College of Humanities exploring government surveillance in the U. S.

He may have lost some friends along the way, but he's one of only a handful of journalists that are going to salvage the reputation of the entire craft when we get through this and to the otherside.

Nope. He's giving his slant on the situation. The truth was a lot more nuanced than that, depending on the context. The truth is that in any war, and we were at war with terrorists organizations (we still are), there is going to be collateral damage. There was no way to look through the information that is collected and not collect some things that are personal to American citizens. The ability to sift through a drag net of information and ONLY collect terrorist activities is something only God could do. Besides, it isn't about what information the government collects, it's about what they do with that information. The Patriot Act never allowed law enforcement to use what was collected at a federal level. Now, that isn't to say that some bad eggs did what they weren't supposed to do, but those incidents were the anomaly not the standard. Think about this: The internment of Japanese Americans is considered to be wrong by anyone's standards, right? However, the government caught a lot of spies in those ranks. War is hell. We are at war. Make no mistake about it. This video is nothing but an armchair quarterback's evaluation of Sunday's game.

Nope at the beginning they did it right, the main turnaround happened in the 60's under Kennedy. But the absolute last decrepitude happened under Clinton in the 90's. And it's not about elected individuals, it's more about BUREAUCRATIES TAKING OVER and elected individuals having very low power over them. You can see this in schools, where overly bureaucratized institutions, with members named for life, has decided to indoctrinate young vulnerable students with Marxist "lets burn it all and rebuild on the cinder " type of belief's.

Nah he's a pathetic joke of a FOX News commentator who plays the lib who weirdly only bashes libs role like Tulsi. He either fell on very tough financial times and sold his values out, or more likely, based on his unstable behavior and constant threats of violence and challenging people to fights on Twitter he's suffering from some kind of mental illness. I hope he gets some help and can regain his sanity since it's been sad watching his fall from grace. And to think one of his first tantrums on substack was about libs being meanies to Trump's kids when he threw away his job because they didn't want him writing unsubstantiated garbage about Biden's kid.

I can show concrete literal concrete evidence that this "world wide pandemic" was planned way in advanced, but people really dont want to the truth, they want to FEEL safe. The point is, is it doesnt matter what you show the masses, they just arent willing or ready to be unplugged. Roll on matrix scene of neo and morpheus walking through the crowd of people. "These people are so helpless dependent on the system, that they will fight to keep it...which makes them our enemy." They are all just a bunch of coincidence theorist.

When privacy began slipping away is when the need for a probable cause warrant rules were bent. My example of the beginning is when a land line telephone surveillance required a probable cause warrant was needed to use any pertinent evidence gathered. Then came the wireless information gathering from baby monitors , cordless telephones etc. If I am not mistaken , all gathered evidence became useful in a court of law without a probable cause limited to specifics warrant. Cell phones said “Hold my Beer”. They are the worst. Where were our sworn to uphold the Constitution and Bill of Rights elected office holders? Not many responses . Law Enforcement just got right on board as well. “ Never let a good evidence tool go to waste”. We need to fire some people and get back to following the Constitution and Bill of Rights because things are only going to get worse for privacy rights.

@Paelorian
@Paelorian 2 жыл бұрын
We're a constitutional republic, but also a democratic republic and a liberal democracy. I generally refer to the USA as a republic rather than a democracy, but people get bent out of shape over this. It's not as if everyone who praises democracy is asking for direct democracy and government by referendum unconstrained by law, courts, precedent, or anything but the swaying passions of the public. Since our country has democratic features, in common use the word "democracy" is used to describe it. I accept that almost everyone is carelessly inaccurate with technical political science terminology, unfortunately. That's just the world we live in. Most people aren't deliberately trying to replace the word "republic" with "democracy" to undermine our traditional institutions when they talk about the world's democracies. They only mean governments where leaders are chosen through "free and a fair" (legitimate) elections. Greenwald is smart and learned enough to be able to use more precise terminology. I expect that he would if talking to political science students, but to the general public he's going to speak in their laymen's language so that they understand what he's talking about, even if it's more vague. Good communication often sacrifices accuracy for more reliable understanding. If you're too technical, you become harder to understand. It's often better to be a little more vague for the sake of writing or speaking in a familiar and easily comprehensible way. He's a writer and knows this well.

When did he apologize to Rachel Maddow? He obviously did not read the whole opinion in the case brought against her by OAN. He only talked about the 1st reason from denying the case which was about being an opinion host just like he is and everyone else. He did not further on when the judge says that Rachel's report was accurate and not misleading.

It really is disturbing to me when I have mentioned Snowden to people in conversation, most of them don’t know who he is. When they talked about asking the public who Snowden was and not everyone could answer that really hit it home for me.

Yes, the real stuff is all secret. The unknown people whom control all this are the real leaders. Everybody else are unimportant.

@@bigred7347 Ur right but those in charge, to a large extent, are not secret. Remember this is global. The genocidal eugenicist pedos behind things include: Schwab, Gates, Obama, Bildeburg Group (i.e.-Rothschilds, Rockefellers), Pope Francis, British Royal Family, Dragon Families + most world leaders. And yes Fauci is guilty of crimes against humanity and violation of the Nuremberg Code, but this is nothing compared to what's next (should it not be stopped). If u haven't already, search "event 201" (plandemic practice run)....Agenda 21/30+50. If you want to see more, search "The Spartacus Letter." This is farrr bigger than just our corrupt leaders (who detest us btw).

Glenn entertaining, informative, and honest...as always. The way in which he undeniably proves points so effortlessly with a logic that every person can relate to is what makes Glenn such an amazing journalist.

The Rothschilds and Bilderberg meeting members and the secret societies are the enemy. JFK tried to warn us about them before he was killed. They control the news and mainstream media and want to erase real journalists like Glenn. Look up Operation Mockingbird, this ain't no conspiracy theory

The experience and wisdom of the founding fathers gave us what may be the greatest constitution ever written. Even so, it is often negated by abusive government officials and by courts legislating from the bench; the very things our constitution is meant to protect us from. All said and done, in a constitutional republic, the real power resides in the people's ability to remove and replace tyrants with honest men and women thru free and honest elections. As noted, however, in the most recent presidential election even the electoral process was corrupted...and we're witnessing the cost, all the way from the gas pump, to the southern border, rioting, looting, crime and killing in our cities and streets, along with a weakened foreign policy... that does not bode well for our country and the world.
