New Zealand trained ahead of their opening game of the ICC T20 World Cup against Afghanistan in Guyana.
The Black Caps, who are yet to win a World Cup title, has once again arrived at a tournament flying under the radar and will hope to ease into knockout stages.
Middle order batter Mark Chapman said the team will rely a lot on the services of all-rounder Glen Phillips, who will be key member of the team given his vast experience of playing franchise cricket with Caribbean Premier League.
Afghanistan, Uganda , Papua New Guinea and co-hosts West Indies are the other teams in the group.
