Bumrah took more wickets than he conceded boundaries in this tournament. In a T20 tournament. Over 8 matches. Bowling the toughest overs in powerplay and death. That is ridiculous!! I don't think such a feat will be repeated in my lifetime in any T20 tournament around the world. He took wickets even when the batters were looking to just see him out. He bowled two batters in the Finals by beating them on their defensive shots. What an honour to see him bowl!

Why is there a question mark in the title?😅 No srsly, I usually don't idolize anyone so much that I say they're good with them being out of form for many matches (sounds familiar Kohli, Dhoni fans?😂) Even Jadeja is underrated for being consistent in both batting and bowling but here and there he fails to deliver in bat, and his bowling in certain conditions/pitches is too easy to hit. But bumrah can make a batsman currently hitting everyone for 6 suddenly struggle and see that fear in their eyes for their wicket (or req runrate rising). And the thing is he does it almost every match. I literally remember very few batsmen who even hit him decently in one match atleast (eg: Frazer mcgurk) otherwise he is too perfect for it

Yes,Kohli played the valuable knock of the world cup but u cannot forget in the middle phase ,he could have accelerated a bit ,but he kept run a ball approach ,with Hardik,Jadeja to bat,this led to probably a shortage of 20 (approx) in the total for India.The impact and aspersion Bumrah created by his two overs brought India into the game and raised the drooping shoulders of the Indian players.

I think Kohli's choice as mvp is well deserved because of the deserved reasons: * a person who has struggled in the the tournament was able to reprogram his mind to perform at that age and come up with this knock this was more mental then physical (because we already know how he is physically) * his knock gave cushion to the bowlers (eventhough we were about 20-30 runs short) * Bumrah is young (that's not why he should not get MVP) so physically and timing wise time and his age is with him. * for Kohli, who is playing for so long, it is amazing to have that kind of hunger and competitive mind set for so long and deliver it. But I think it was a TEAM win. Great team concept. No one can do this on their own we need a team who has all the players in same page and everyone is happy to see their teammates succeed.

Actually this game was similar to the final of the last ICC trophy India won. Champions trophy 2013, against England. Although it was the ODI, that game was reduced to pretty much a t20 due to weather. England needed 20 of 16 with 6 wickets in hand cruising to victory. Then came the collapse. So dejavu. Despite having a dominant tournaments, it seems like India is dependent on a collapse from the opposition in order to win the final.

Just chill guys, doesn't matter who got potm, India won the wc that's what matters the most; all players were tuning the right tunes, axar kohli dube in batting in finals, then after disappointing spell from spinners, bumrah-hardik-bumrah-arsh-hardik those 5 overs were awesome All 11 players contributed sometimes in the tournament, even jaddu with the bat in the semis, so don't target someone or don't make someone God, just enjoy the moment after all we got to celebrate a trophy after 11 yrs
