Thank u for reviewing this recent performance by GG. What I love about it is that you can tell she connects with the song due to some recent struggles of her own that she overcame. She also apparently had a cold this evening, which I think made her lower register even more like Whitney 's in her later days. No one does more justice to Whitney's tone and songs than Glennis. Yes, she is imitating Whitney but only as the highest form of flattery and homage to someone she admires so much.

@ And it's ok that you think that way! But I meant instead of an hologram, a proper tribute would be fine! Whitney would ever be one of the greatest whatsoever, but a spark of her essence is nice to see!🤷🏿‍♂️ There's a difference between inspiration and replace, she CANNOT BE REPLACED.

@ I feel you, but black American audiences don’t want to see it. Hence why tribute tours never come to fruition for legacy acts like Luther, Michael, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Aretha, etc etc. Most of those black artists were taken advantaged by the industry and record labels during their lifetime, so to see a tour after death is just further exploitation in our eyes.

Maybe moving forward she can make them her own, she’s trying to copy Whitney to a T. Whitney did what she felt in those moments and Glennis is trying to do it exactly like Whitney improvising
