Glenn...while I do not have a E46 M3, I totally agree with your comment about the enjoyment of "driving a slow car fast". That WAS the definition of my '99 Miata Sport...5 speed, RWD, LSD, sat low on the ground, corners on rails...and all at/below the speed limit. In driving a Corvette in town, by comparison, it "felt" like a limo as its high performance potential can only be realized/experienced on track.

Why do you guys in the US not get drilled brake rotors on the M3? They are std here in the Uk? I love my M3 it’s the best all round car I’ve owned and driven does everything so well and never fails to put a smile on my face.

Regarding the brakes. I forget the reason, i believe they squeaked more but I really don't remember

What do you think of the Z4 M Roadster? Can you see it beginning to appreciating along side the Z4 M Coupe and the E46 M3 or do you think it will never really hold its value or appreciation like the Coupe? What do you think of the Z4 M Roadster over all? Is it as good as the coupe or the E46 M3 in your opinion?

I have never driven a Z4 M Coupe or roadster. I own a Z3M coupe and have driven the roadster versions. I think the coupes, liek the Z3M and E46 M3 appreciated the most. They built a lot more roadsters for the Z3M and Z4M so I don't think they will go up much, but they will hold their value

with all cars.... i drive a r53 mini cooper, supercharged 200hp its not fast..... but still faster than 70% of the cars you see people driving on a daily basis.

They can can be cheap daily drivers. Especially when you factor in depreciation of any other daily car.
