Nice video. I would love to have a video on a 90s model DS carburetor adjustment. I need to know what all of the different adjustment screws do and how to set them. I just took the carburetor apart, fairly simple, and cleaned it but I’m wondering if the reason it won’t start now is because the screws are all closed and fuel needs to come in somehow and I don’t understand.

Fought the same issues... here is how I solved my issues .. I was overfilling the oil, and oil was getting into the fuel pump, making it not pump or pump for a while, then the oil will make it quit. So I checked the dip stick more closely, replaced the hose and pump for the 100th time, and it worked. I have sold that cart

Do I have to prime the gas line when there is no gas in the filter? And how can I do that.

Try cranking the engine to operate the fuel pump with the line disconnected from the carb to prime the pump.

Good morning Glenn , here is my issue , have a 2001 DS and for some reason this summer we have had a carb issue . Will run great for days or weeks and then all of a sudden while running along it will spit and sputter and sometimes i can hit the choke a bit and it helps but not alwasy. Dies and after sits for a minute runs ok. Last night really had to baby it to get it home. New filters this spring. Dirty carb ? fuel pump ? Your guess ? Also Im sure carb is original, prices seem very reasonable for new, would you just replace ? Almost seems to easy. Thank you

Could be all of the above. For less that 20 buck, replace everything. Fuel lines, fuel pump and filter. Clean the tank out while your at it, fresh non ethenol premium fuel and clean the float Boal in the carb. Run a quarter bottle of Seafoam or Berryman in the tank for the next few tanks. Should be good as new. Good luck.

Just go to Amazon and search 1988 Club Car Carbruator. Don't buy the cheapest one, step up a bit.

Can you explain in a comment or do a video on how to do what you did with the air hose to help the fuel system prime, please?
@GlennsSpeedShop4 жыл бұрын
I think what the run problem was that the fuel line from the tank was restricted. I simply removed the line from the fuel pump and set my aire hose to 20 psi or so and blew the line clear. My mistake was not removing the fuel cap and I pressurized the plastic fuel tank and when I removed the air nozzle from the line, the tank pressure made fuel flow out the hose at a high rate. But it cleared the line and now the fuel pump fills the filter and it runs as it should. The old fuel pump was probably just fine, I kept it for parts... Thanks for the comment.

@@GlennsSpeedShop just to be clear, you took the main fuel supply from the fuel pump and blew into that one, correct? Sorry, I’m just starting to learn everything on these golf carts as I just bought my first one. Thanks for the reply.

@@87AStead Yes... correct. Be carefull not to pressurize the tank, remove the cap, reduce the pressure. Good luck
