Hi Glen, just dropping by to tell you that I so much enjoy watching you race. This video about pit strategy was something i really needed, so thank you so much for that. It really helped me get my pre-race nerves under control a little more by not having to think about unchecking and checking certain options. Totally awesome video, mate. Keep up the good work and hope to keep seeing more of your productions.

Thanks Frank. Yeah I used to always forget the pit options before the lights went green and ended up doing it mid race. There are a lot of little things we can change in iRacings defaults the help a lot. Thanks for the compliments mate. 👍

No worries Dave. I was shown this a long time ago and thought I'd share. Up until I was told I was always busy with the mouse once on the grid, and there were a couple of times I missed the green light, which doesn't look good in an official race.

Good video Glen When you set the fuel option to 0, how do you get fuel if you want it, check the box?

Thanks Bob. Yep, you select it in the black box while driving. Or you could set the shortcut keys as mentioned in the 2nd half of the vid. 👍

GREAT VIDEO! Thanks for the help. So if I change the settings in the note pad to have 0 fuel, and I have my Crew Chief on automatic refuel, crew will give the the right amount of fuel to get me to the end of the race. RIGHT? I have my crew on automatic refuel

Cheers mate glad it helped. You need to be careful with auto fill as different programs can clash with each other. Just make sure only one program is controlling auto fuel. Most overlay programs like Kapps and RacelabApps have an auto fill feature that was really messing with my sim whenever I went to the pits it would add full fuel, so maybe check them all. Great Video it helped me a lot but I have got still one question: When I make my pit stop during the race and I only need fuel and no tyres, how can I make it that I only get fuel during a race ? Would be great if you could help me

Sorry I didn't get to your msg sooner mate. In the latter part of the video I talk about having preset macros which could automatically allocate a certain amount of fuel when pushing a button. You could do that maybe. 👍

this is good content, glen. people struggle with this stuff, for sure. I ... maybe did not know some of that macro stuff. The real question is what if you want to send a chat message with the $ symbol in it, if it always sees that symbol as an enter??

On ya knackers - I didn't realise this either for a while and would sit in the pits for 5 minutes instead of fast repairing. I just untick the tyres/fuel manually on the grid but i'll probably just do this going forward.
