Honestly, I feel like out of all the NASCAR stock cars on iRacing, the Gen4/ARCA car has to be the better one cause, well basically cause it’s an old Gen 4 NASCAR, and almost like it’s real life counterpart, it’s got real good handling, really good aerodynamics, and for the most part easy to handle. Like ya look at the real life version, it didn’t matter what track it raced at, .5 mile, 1 mile, 1.5 mile, 2 mile, or 2.5 mile tracks for ovals and especially road courses, it showed great races and it seemed that drivers from different backgrounds could really handle well with it. Cause the real life car had really good handling, had great down force cause of how low the car was, I mean it’s the reason why on road courses in ARCA teams have always gone with the old Gen 4 cars, or what’s known as the “steel body” cars. Cause they handle better than the current cars.

Normally I hate NASCAR, but I enjoyed this. Especially the road course. The racing was 👍🏻
@DevinNg4 жыл бұрын
Why do you hate nascar tho?
@bobftw26184 жыл бұрын
@@DevinNg I shouldn’t say hate-I don’t enjoy NASCAR because I don’t like oval racing. I prefer more complex cars and tracks. No doubt oval racing is very difficult, but it’s also a very specific set of skills. Circuit driving requires a more broad set of driving skills that I appreciate more. I also really don’t like the cars. They’re heavy, low tech (compared to some other classes of race car), and they are set up to be good at one thing at the expense of everything else. Oval track NASCARs are so set up to turn left that on the straights the drivers have to fight the car from drifting left. Even the aero on the cars isn’t symmetrical left to right and is maximized for turning left. I guess I just prefer cars/drivers that need to be able to do a little bit of everything. It’s the same reason I think drag cars that can’t do anything but go in a straight line for four seconds are silly.
