Glenrothes: The End of the Beginning (1995)

Lived here pretty much my whole life, ‘95 is the year I left highschool and I can confirm it was a much better place to live back then than now….saying that, wasn’t everything and everywhere better in the ‘90’s?! Take me back, please!

Was brought up in Glenrothes for the first 5 years in my life in the 90s. As far as i remember it was a nice place back then to live, but as timed rolled on its just aged terribly. This was a gem to watch though especially watching the footage of the Kingdom Centre and rothes halls in 1995, very nostalgic!

I wonder what the original town planners would make of this town now, absolute dumping ground.

I worked in Glenrothes in 2000s and unfortunately it was starting to go like rest of towns, council underinvestment etc, the love of my life grew up in Glenrothes, so I’ll always have a link to the town but nowadays Rothes house office block is away, stagecoach have destroyed the public transport

Lived in Balfarg from 82 till 86 before moving back west. I was only a kid but I really enjoyed my time there.

I lived there most of the time from 1972 to 2017. Glad I don't live in this awful carbuncle anymore!
