@@Secret19977 Health and safety reasons. At the time of this comment the Glens were wrecked financially and were struggling to perform in the league. Since then we've had a financial takeover, our historic debt has been paid off and the performances in the league are improving with plans of a new stadium on place. The "New Oval" could maybe see a crowd like this again soon 🤞

Linfield have sold over 2500 season tickets, meaning that an extra 500 paying at the gate would bring the home attendance to 3000. We would get those 500 extra easily. We don't publish our attendances because it's not worth the bother, we don't have to prove ourself to anyone. We are the biggest club in Ireland by a long way, and don't you just know it. Linfield have around 2000 season ticket holders. The fact that Glentoran have 1000 have proved what I said. My calculations were correct. Glentoran about 1500 to 2000 usually, Linfield 3000 to 4000

Average for the Glens is probably about 1500/2000 (if you ignore th big 2 games where it' about 12000). Linfeld would be about 3000/4000, again ignoring the big two games (thts linfield vs glentoran)
