@jakeh6980 Жыл бұрын
No he wouldn’t. He would never get the chance to bc he’s too outspoken, too pro American, white, and he would have spoke up and attacked the whole B.S kneeling of the national anthem, the B.S “black anthem”, and most likely the whole “black power” halftime show a few years back. He’s too much of a real man and too politically incorrect for todays woke nfl

When the NFL was starting to realize how good TE's can be...Him along with Gates and a host of others made TE's such an great asset to the passing game. Probably why teams started drafting smaller LB's to cover them. Also this was in an era where being a "me first" guy wasn't as frowned upon...now players are force to be PC and if they say anything remotely self-proclaiming, they get crucified. The NFL I remembered thrived on personalities around the league. I get it's a team sport but the stars made it entertaining and more marque. Now It's all about who's at QB...

They basically completely changed the TE position from "small lineman that can catch" to "huge wide receiver" a lot of "basketball players with muscles" are playing TE now, I think the only way the FB position will survive is if it becomes the "old TE", also idk about the other point, I remember guys like TO and Ochocinco being ridiculed a lot.

My favorite Giants player to watch when we were bad… Before OBJ, before Saquon… Jeremy just made the games fun when the Giants were not that good. I felt so bad for him when he got hurt in 07 when we won the Super Bowl! I was so happy for him that he scored the winning touchdown for the Saints. Trading him was the worst day ever… Worse for me then trade in Odell. Shockey had that toughness that you just can’t teach.

Great video. I remember when the Giants drafted Shockey from Miami and I was so pumped. He was so talented and so fearless. I think he was the first TE to change the position into a more skill, pass catching as opposed to blocking and only short catches. Unfortunately, he couldn't keep his mouth shut and just play. The NY market has the ability to get the best of people...just ask Odell

I'm sorry, as a Giants fan I have to disagree with that statement, Kellen Winslow showed that a TE could be a primary weapon in the passing game.
