Glenwood Canyon Colorado I-70 Scenic Drive
On a normal travel day between Breckenridge CO and Glenwood Springs CO, we expected Interstate 70 to be a nice, scenic drive. Most of the roads in Colorado are beautifully scenic.
We had no idea what was in store for us between Dotsero and Glenwood Springs. We were so in awe of what we were seeing we had to turn on the camera to share it with you.
Join us in this week as we drive one of the most scenic stretches of Interstate in the United States. Glenwood Canyon Highway travels along the Colorado River in the Rocky Mountains of Western Colorado. This scenic byway is not only incredibly beautiful, but it also has a very unique story. This is the very last section of the original US Interstate System to be built!
Despite the bugs on the windshield, we take you along on the experience of driving beautiful Glenwood Canyon Highway Scenic Drive. We'll also share what we learned about the amazing engineering and creativity that built this scenic byway.

East bound you get to see the tiered layout better. We drove our semi through there a few times in the mid 80s and hadn't been back till Nov 2022. What a pleasant surprise.

Hello guys. Another great video! So happy for y’all with the new RV Site home base! You’re right Tom. A great investment that will appreciate as opposed to watching funds slowly disappear under our great Bidenomics! Our son & family left his Ouray, CO. KOA work camp job a couple of weeks ago. He is now work camping at the Steamboat Springs KOA through the winter! 🥶🥶I hope that Cajun Boy has some long John’s! LOL!

Great video of this scenic drive....I-70 has another very scenic portion back in Utah just west of Green River called the San Rafael Swell...Its like driving through the Grand Canyon...Keep em coming, stay safe, be well...

We will be driving I-70 across Colorado, in September, on our way to Moab. This looks like a highlight of the drive! I did enjoy this "scenic drive" video and would gladly watch more like it. I got to experience that drive back in 2007 when I traveled to Colorado for work. On the one day off we had, we went White Water rafting on the Colorado River in and near Glenwood Springs. A very beautiful part of our great country.

Very scary and deceptively difficult drive. We did it earlier this year in our gasser with our car behind us. The truck lane is very rutted so you are barreling towards a pot hole and can't do anything to avoid it. If you're in that area, there is a fantastic harvest host called Stoneyard Distillery right there in a town called Gypsum. They do beat sugar alcohol and it's awesome.

Go try the Million $ hwy (550) from Ouray to Durango if you want scenery. It is a white knuckler in a MH and tow vehicle, but can be done safely if you are an experienced MH driver. The Silverton to Durango section is an easier drive than Quray to Silverton, but amazing scenery and wildlife can be seen.
