You were fairly T’d up to the wave that got ya. I paddle an outfitter and when anticipating/encountering a big wave I lean forward a bit more and paddle a bit harder. Appears you favor a shorter paddle? I go 230 because of size of outfitter tubes and i like as much power and leverage as i can get. Like everyone in an IK…I’m between swims. 😅

I can't remember exactly what I ws thinking when I got the paddle, but it feels proportional for my reach

Looks great. I have the Lynx 1 too and it's fantastic.

my one problem with this flip is that I was looking for the grab handle underneath and had a lot of trouble finding it since it's the same gray color as the bottom of the boat. Later I took a marker pen and colored the webbing black so it would be easier to spot if/when this happens again

@@BudgetAdventure I looped a small piece of bright green webbing on mine

That spot was made for capsizing. Loved the footage. 👍

Thanks. I watch the footage and try to guess what I could do differently. Just grabbing the boat before it floats away is the real victory. It would suck to swim those rapids only held up by the life vest

Maybe if you went extreme left , but by the time you can see it, it's too late.

agreed, but sometimes you will always get flipped, despite whatever stroke you use to try to avoid that
