Man this is my kind of adventure! I've always been enamored by the idea of just finding a tiny little creek somewhere nearby that never gets paddled, and going down the whole thing in a little inflatable like that. Though I'd have to imagine in such a narrow spot surrounded by thorns and spiders, i'll be wearing some sleeves lol
@GatewoodBrown7 ай бұрын
Totally agree Frozty! I love these punchy little adventures. Fortunately it was too late by the time I careened into a couple branches that an outfit change was out of the question haha. It was quite sporty but super stoked that it turned out to be very manageable. Still a daring time though!

I was wondering myself about an inflatable kayak since I don't have a big car or a shed to store a rigid one. But I was suprised myself that he took an inflatable on this. Would it not get popped if the river is shallow?
@GatewoodBrown7 ай бұрын
Hey curt! And it’s so lightweight that it’s so easy to carry down to the river. Plus very comfortable! Definitely check out the kayak I used in this video, highly recommend the Nyce Nugget after using it for 4 trips (videos to come!)
@GatewoodBrown7 ай бұрын
Shallow and rocky isn’t generally a problem, more so trees that could pop but my raft is very heavy duty. It’s not one of the ultralight versions so that is helpful for durability

I'm from Dutch John, my brother and I used to float down Sheep Creek, but we'd often get bottomed out and have to walk 😂 . Our dad ferried rafts for the lodge so we used to do the Little Hole run on the Green two or three times a day when the weather was good.

That was one of the questions I had, when u kayak camp out how do yall get back to the vehicle, do yall kayak upstream or do yall have someone pick yall up wherever yall end up?
@GatewoodBrown7 ай бұрын
Great question! Starting with most to least preferable: 1. 2 cars, drop one at the takeout and then leave one at the launch. 2. 1 car at the bottom after dropping gear at the top. Then the person at the bottom parks and runs or Ubers back to the top 3. No Uber, 1 car at the bottom after dropping gear at the top. Then the person at the bottom parks and runs back to the top
