No, not at this time. This component is limited to images. Instead, you can create a custom collection with a video component to display a list of videos.

@@RobertPetittoWA Perhaps it’s not that important. User could be informed to “upload your feature image first” in the same way it works on Facebook market place. To make it editable you could create column to count the number of images in the array, create all those numbers as an array to be the source of a drop-down for the user to pick which number image to be the featured image. I think I’m just a bit annoyed and spending hours to build a ‘set image as featured’ function when using the separate image table setup and I don’t want to lose that functionality, even though the new multi-image field would overall be a better user experience.

I love your work! I recently implented your 'add image' feature to my chat function, however i wondered if i can add multiple images? Ive tried switching out the orginal image column for a mutiple image column but it the template column doesnt pick it up

Great video however I've checked my free account and the setting is not available in the preview features on the account. Is the multiple images selection only available for paid plans please? As always an easy video to increase my understanding

Hey Desley. It's available for every plan, but is only available within Glide Tables (not Google Sheets)

@@RobertPetittoWA Many thanks Robert, however the setting is not showing in any of the accounts where you show it in your video and I don't use Google sheets. Excel file I upload or simply use Glide table. Unfortunately I cannot send you a screen shot on YT to show you that it is not available to select to ensure it is enabled. This is what I get in the Preview Features Section: Preview Features: Push Notifications (Beta) and the Button to enable or disable; and Improved Data Editor and the Button to enable or disable. They are the only 2 preview features I see. In the app itself I can see the multi image in the computed section however even when included on the datasheet.

this is great, but all images are uploaded as webp, is there a way to keep original format? And also it would be great to be able to batch name photos, i.e. have an input box that you enter data, and then every picture after is abc_01, abc_02, abc_03 etc.

As far as I know, you can’t control either of these things when uploading images to Glide. It would be a nice feature request though.

@@RobertPetittoWA When I watched your video, it gave me some new ideas for an app that I had made. I created an app where I keep track of all the plastic models I have built, or what I have in stock. After a model is finished, I placed one photo of the finished model. But a single time I thought "It would be nice to have several photos of that model from different angles". So now I can use this new feature 🙂

Gidday Robert, Another quick question if I may. Is there a way in Glide that the user can select one image from multiple images when completing a form please. I have been developing a My Medications app and part of this app is that a user can including medications for either themselves or their family members so all the information is together What I would like to do if possible, is after they upload their images and family members names into the family members section, is that when they add a medication for either themselves or a family member, instead of constantly having to upload an image into the form, they can simply select from the array of images for their user account, the one they specifically they want. I'm still a newbie re Glide and I have tried to research this however I am unable to ascertain whether via the image picker the user can simply select the image they want rather than have to upload the image to the form. I've managed to incorporate a choice so they only have to click on the relevant member in their list of family members and also a choice for the medication type. However I am unable to ascertain whether they can simply select the image they want. The closest I can think of is a datasheet specifically for images tied to the email address, however, I would constantly have to add to this sheet rather than it be automatic. Is this the way to go please?

I imagine a choice component is the way to go. Value = image URL, display = image caption/title. Only issue is that the image is rather small in a choice component.

As far as I’m aware, the video component does not behave in this manner. For now, You’d need to use the miracle method to transpose the list of video URLs into their own row then display them in a custom collection.

Can’t use user specific then…you’d need to write the images to a table that the admin can see

Yep! Theyd upload an image using the file picker and you could have a button with an open link action that opens the image in a new tab. From there you can save the image as needed.

Robert, what if I want to show pic1 for hotel1, pic2 for hotel2 etcetera? that feels more realistic then wanting the same in order for all?

You’d have to create some sort of interface, where there’s selecting which image index they want to feature, and then save that to the hotel profile row, and then use that number as the index selector in the single value column. I’ll create a follow up video in Loom, and attach it to the description.

File Picker stores a URL to the file. You’d be able to display that link I to the user. When the open the link, they can have the option to download the file.
