omg i have this scooter! i bought the very first original model i believe. The one that doesnt have lights and has a pin to fold it in half. love this scooter! i've been riding it for like 2 years and it still works well
@ElectricRideReview7 жыл бұрын
Nice! That's awesome to hear. I enjoyed reviewing it quite a bit.
@Mazxlol7 жыл бұрын
First model was $700 instead of 850. It did not have headlight and quick release. Instead of quick release it had a pin which you had to manually use to lock it in place but once it was locked there was no way it could randomly unfold on its own. Otherwise looks the same. Good review, i agree on the half a second delay on the throttle, kinda annoying.

great review. I totally agree. the dolly aspect of the scooter is arguably its biggest strength. I don't know why more scooter manufacturers realize that they need better ways to move the scooters around when you are not riding them. This one is a perfect last mile solution for business people.

Down to $599 on amazon. But you can get much better scooters out there for around the same price faster & much better range with suspension. Only thing this thing has as advantage is the weight & handle to use like a suitcase. Which is a great idea. The weight thing will happen because of battery size & construction of material. I do like the tires never flat & like the guy in video rounded which does work better for turns.

This is literally the best scooter for the price on the market, with great customer service. I just wish it went about 5 miles an hour faster as it is limited to 15 mph, I think the platform can really support 20 miles an hour though. And the battery indicator is indeed accurate, you just have to read it when you’re not moving. It’s also not a heads up display.
@ElectricRideReview7 жыл бұрын
Good point, I think this power meter is looking at voltage and that can sag when you're powering the scooter at full blast :)
@phototristan7 жыл бұрын
Right, and also my information on that comes directly from Glion.

For a little faster and a similar price point you can look into the ZERO 8 scooter or the ZERO 9. I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

It is less than 500$ now... with a fender braking and a decent (not bad) front suspension. The brake is still body-throwing. But the motor is not 250w-ish weak at all. Actually 600w peak is not worse than many scooters. (They explain that 250w is just about the power you need to get rid of the fraction when riding on a smooth and flat surface.)
@jessaphillips28467 жыл бұрын
this would be really great if you could use regenerative braking while pulling the scooter behind you to charge it up some...

one level of breaking? that seems like a bad idea...i also read on a top 10 site that it can not go up hills
@Berzrk-Z6 жыл бұрын
I've not had any issues going up slight hills/inclines (6ft 215lbs and backpack). It slows down, but it doesn't quit. As for the breaking, it's definitely weird to get used to, but once i did it's fine and isn't all on or all off in my experience

This is going for $629 now. Would you still recommend this as a great scooter for the price? I am looking for something to handle a 3 mile roundtrip commute every day.
@Berzrk-Z6 жыл бұрын
Kevin, I just purchased this scooter (won't ship until 12 Sep) and will be using it to go from the train station to work (1mi), from work to gym at lunch (1.2mi, 2.4 round trip), and finally from work to the train station (1mi). So I'm looking at almost 6mi a day and would be happy to report back to this comment after a week or so of use if you'd like. I did hours of research and ultimately settled on this because I felt it was the best choice OVERALL for my needs, even though other scooters were better in single areas ie. speed, distance, etc. For reference, I'm 6ft 213lbs and will also be carrying my MMA bag that'll weigh roughly 8-10lbs.

Marwa, so I've had my Glion for a few weeks now but I'm not yet ready to rate it because I ran into an issue (of my own causing) so I haven't had a chance to really test it out. I unfortunately bent the dolly handle and it ended up being stuck; totally my fault as I forgot to retract the handle before opening the scooter up. Long story short, I reached out to Glion directly and they offered to either have me ship it back for repair (their cost) or ship me the replacement parts and instructions to fix myself. I ended up choosing to fix myself, and did so without issue. I'm going to be commuting with it all week next week, so I'd be glad to report back here afterwards if you'd like?
@lylehutz6 жыл бұрын
Marwa Dridi I have had this now for about 3 weeks, and it has been going great. I commute about 1.2 miles each way and never have a problem with battery. I actually keep my battery at work, so I can charge before I go. The most I have done on one charge is 1.2 home, 1.5 to a school, 1.5 back. and then 1.2 to work, and it was no problem.

Which scooter do you recommend if I live in downtown LA which has some slopes.
@RevRides3605 жыл бұрын
For LA or other hilly cities I would recommend a scooter with at least a 500W 48V motor. The ZERO 9 is a good choice. If you don't want hills to slow you down then step up to an 800W 52V motor on the ZERO 10 or ZERO 10X. All available at www.revrides.com. Let me know if you have more questions I can answer.

Good presentation, man. Just same with most other presentations: Why make background music sooo loud? Background music theme in your video presentation is as annoying as the motor on your e-scooter! That's MY WISH for your improvement. It's exhausting to sharpen the listening skills while fighting an uphill battle against the background noise. At least riding the scooter you can put on ear plugs or a head phone to muffle the noise while riding. All else is good. I'm over 50 trying to shave some lbs off my 215 lbs frame :)

$849 is not affordable... and it's not great for a below average speed E scooter... I would price this at $500 because it's not good enough for that price... I would pay $1,000 for a bigger and better battery and go to 30mph instead of a measly 18 which btw is very low compared to the competition. Which is at 20mph at $500 price range
@sundo-pf5zv6 жыл бұрын
Even $1000 is too much, honest. Bigger battery: Yes, but higher speed: ABSOLUTELY NO ! for safety reasons. This design with a straight-up handle and you standing on the deck without a safety belt would cause severe head injuries for average users in an accident and would thus cause rather harm than usefulness. NOBODY is talking about safety gear when promoting this gadget. A conscientious presenter would ALWAYS raise AWARENESS to ANY listener to prevent misunderstanding the HIGH RISK that ppl expose themselves to when they start riding this vehicle.
