Seeing Falcon is always great but Fatality seriously needs a secondary to deal with the FE swordies. Their frame data puts them at an overwhelming advantage over many characters, Falcon especially.

I don't think its the match up, I think its a bit more because fatality was playing as tight as he normally would. He went for a lot of risky things. No one should get up B'd that many times. Fatality shouldve just locked in on playing time, and play more safe in neutral. To be fair, Leon is cracked, he definitely knew how to box fatality out but thats on Fatality bc of his linear approaches

Fatality has decimated Europe and defeated Ogey pretty substantially before, so I would say Fatality had less warm up for the match up than Leon knowing what to do from fighting Ogey. That said, excellent play from Leon for beating Fatality on the mixup game

Fatality last stock probably could have jumped forward after Leon's stall with DB1 so he could either try to recover high or airdodge into a 50/50 between fastfalling or not and recovered low

It’s funny because fatality got a taste of his own medicine , the way Leon was edge guarding him was similar to how fatality/falcon bullies other chars off stage , specifically k rool . The way fatality goes off stage to up b rool was similar to how Leon was using his up b to edge guard a fatality …. I was rooting for fatality but Leon this his thing , respect ✊🏾

I know ganon and cap have “exploitable” recoveries, but the thing that people don’t menthol is how much priority(snapping) they have. Cap way more than Ganon. But you will literally get reversed so hard trying to edge guard either of them if they are even just a little close to the board.

Not to be overly critical cause im no smash pro but im a fatality fan and man did he seem to be playing slow, scared, running up and shielding a lot, super basic stuff, only bread and butters, super safe play not the explosive fatality ive come to love. Im surprised he got this far by playing so slow/safe/scared. (Not only in this game but in every game he played)

Dunno how much experience you have in the lucina matchup but it is extremely hard to play explosive vs lucina. Her speed and incredibly safe aerials make getting in at all an absolute nightmare, she ravages you off stage, and dolphin slash is borderline uncontestable/will kill you for trying
