Muteace exposing Falcon's biggest weakness: being so susceptible to anti-airing Falcon relies so much on those falling aerials to mount his offense, but peach has the perfect tool with float to completely deny him the time and space Falcon needs to get those openings with his aerials

This game was a good example of how important it is to use a character with not only high speed, but high x-axis (saccadic) adaptability such as for Peach's case. The match up appeared more even than I thought it would be... considering each players skill, maybe a little against Cap here as it is more demanding to open punish opportunities against a high level Peach player. Fatality is doomed to take a lot of risks to connect the strings he needs to win & it is unlikely to get away with clean approaches if the Peach player is reading well. Notice how brutally Muteace defends the center stage that last stock to take the match... That is the essence of this entire match up for Fatality here. Capitalization needs to be perfect on Fatality's part to win on the damage exchanges... One of my biggest complaints about SSBU so far is still that most of what makes a decent character in this game has all to do with a) saccadic influence, b) frame data, & c) basic speed... Hence all of the miserable DLCs combined, ugh... Also gimmicky characters like Peach or even Sonic or literally INKLING can pull off some devastating nonsense just from having overendowed movement properties. Cap is NOT a lacking character & Fatality uses him very well, which says a lot about how Peach's basic endowments allowed for many of those easy punishes we see occurring in these games. At the end of the day, if Fatality were as good with a DLC as he was with Cap then he probably would have won against Muteace, just due to being able to adapt his spacing & manage the punish game a little better. Disappointing how skewed SSBU became over time... no more DLCs please...

It has a lot to do with the match up. Peach has this one in the bag most naturally. It takes a lot of risky approaches for Cap to get the punishes required here. See how frustrating it gets near the end, it's nearly asking too much if the Peach player is highly skilled. Fatality could have gotten a few more lucky confirms, but he was honestly playing pretty well here. Had Fatality used a better character at the same level of play as his Cap then he may have had a fairer chance against Muteace's Peach. Swords ruin Peaches entire life, for instance... A fast DLC with a sword might have been a step on the right direction for Fatality

@@louievazquez744 No, he's fairly familiar with the MU, the thing is Falcon sucks, Fatality is a highly skilled player hardcarrying Falcon! playing the game in HARDCORE mode, Falcon doesn't have good oos options or ways to contests Peach's aerials and his combo potential actually suck (go into training mode and try to string upairs, you'll see the combo counter doesn't go up) specially on floaties

No I think muteace is really good and the matchup is really bad for falcon on top of that. To me it looked like Fatality started not familiar with the matchup against people at mutace's level. Pretty much all of game one he was trying to figure out how to edge guard peach, and after losing so bad accepted that it wasn't worth it. Game 2 his spacing and timing improved and it was a closer set. I'm guessing he realized that he was getting owned with platform extensions so he then went FD. If he was more familiar with the matchup he would have done it game 2. Then he did really well, but then was counter picked back to a bad stage AND sd''d :/

If ganon had a better recovery and had just a little more speed, he would be better than falcon. Ganon doesn’t miss his attacks because his hit boxes are so much bigger.
