Ah man, it's so great to hear the instrumental version of this remix, too - as someone who enjoys hearing non-vocal tracks of songs, it's nice to be able to focus on the supporting aspects of the mix. That said, your vocal remix from last week was absolutely superb! I really enjoy the instrumentation you used here, how both the lead melody and supporting chords have this lovely, distinctly steel-sounding strummed sound to them. It almost sounds a bit like a harpsichord, in how it has that ringing kind of texture to it. It's hard to put into words, exactly, but it's a warm, yet vibrant sound, and hearing it throughout is a comforting and uplifting feeling! And my man, the electric guitar solo sounds as good as ever! The action on the guitar, with those note slides and the vibrato is awesome, and it just. plain. SHREDS. With this instrumental version, I'm hearing new details that I wasn't previously really aware of, like that rock organ used selectively to help add character and drive to the supporting parts, starting at 0:51 - it's almost a bit like a stadium organ, and it sounds amazing! And speaking of subtleties, there are some low-key SFX, like the "yeahhh!" at 2:32 and that iconic gate sound effect at 2:43 (which corresponds perfectly with the visuals, by the way) which really shine in this version! Once again, major props for this remix - it's honestly hard to say which version I prefer, because they both offer a distinct listening experience, but they're both stellar! I'm glad to hear you like the epic guitar solo as much as I do. The notes for that part is from Claire Anne Carr's piano remix of this song, and when I first heard it, I immediately thought that it would sound amazing as a guitar solo, so I got his permission to use the melody, and I loved the way it sounded with an electric guitar instrument! I carefully mixed and tweaked the guitar so it would sound as good as possible, and also arranged the drums to fit the solo section, as well as the background cutscene to go along with the solo, and I really love the way everything turned out! It's definitely my favorite part of this remix. Thanks again and keep up the good work yourself! Loving that Bubblegum K.K. remix that you made! 😎🎵
