Glitter Resin Wine Tumblers, Tack-It & Stickles

In this video, I decided to veer away from my common skinny straight tumblers and try to jazz things up a bit by working with stainless steel wine tumblers! In retrospect, I think a similar (maybe even better?) effect could be had by applying glitter adhesive vinyl around the top of a spray-painted tumbler and applying glitter and resin over that, or pressing on glitter HTV. But I love using Stickles glitter glue so much that this was the idea that first occurred to me, and I ran with it. The glitter glue gods laughed and laughed.

BEAUTIFUL! Love your carbon tip. I was wondering NO concern of epoxy exposure when drinking? Other videos show no epoxy put near where mouth is put.

Thank you!! It’s really all personal preference. People put resin countertops in their kitchen and cut vegetables on them, whereas other folks stay away from anything resin.🤷‍♀️ But these wine glasses, like most of the stainless tumblers, come with tops that have sliding openings and can be used with a straw to avoid contact.

These were awesome - love the red design - was there a reason why you sprayed it clear matte instead of the clear gloss - with the gloss - your black would have been sparkling - have a good one

Thanks!! Well, the spray paint doesn’t affect the sparkle of the glitter after applying resin. Matte, gloss, semi-gloss, they all disappear when resin is applied. In this case, I prefer matte just to provide the resin with a little something extra to hold onto, because sometimes resin will actually slide off a gloss surface and leave craters. But the sparkle is there. It may not show on camera, but that would also be the case even if I’d used a gloss spray.

How did u know!? 🙀 I was just over here yesterday looking to see if u had any tips on how to make black glitter show up under resin! 🤗💕 I'm sure it has something to do with the mix of the glitter 🤔 we didn't want it to come out silver or holo etc.. just like a flat black, ya know? I am having to watch this outside rn, but I'll come back to see later how it rly looks on these glasses! Did u get a nice flat dark glittery black with this one? Omg I can't wait to watch again! These are amazing! I was wondering how the shape of these glasses would affect the resin coating but u did an amazing job!! 🥰🙌

Thank you!! The black tack-it glitter is subtle but definitely sparkly under resin. Unfortunately it doesn’t show up very well on camera, which is a shame. It might sparkle better if just poured on (not tacked or burnished down), but that would involve more layers of resin than I wanted on these wine glasses. This Desire black is definitely high flash, which helps. The Walmart black glitter also keeps its sparkle under resin.

I think the glitter glue itself would go on fine, but it probably wouldn’t be particularly durable. But for decoration, it’d be lovely 🍷✨
