They are gorgeous. I love the turtle the best. I cross with the bubbles, I take my Drexel on a very low speed and smooth them out. I then do a silver or gold trim to blend them in.

I love this turtle! I just rec'd the mold myself and was looking for some ideas. I'm in Mobile, AL and it is Mardi Gras time! I just have to have these mardi gras rocks. Thank you for your video. I also measured with water and then saw the 13 oz and figured I must have measured the water wrong lol. If I remember it was about 11 oz of water, I'm sure the rocks took up some space as well. I will remeasure before I mix my resin. I love the coaster and the shell, I have those molds too!

I was watching a stone coat table top tutorial as well as a mid evil resin pour in both the guys used black resin paste to add to the darker ocean water. I am going to try my clip board beach pour and will post it for you to see.

I like the turtle is … I think the limbs being the transparent blue is perfect with the shells just in the belly. Just LOVE the blue colour. (I prefer to make blue things as well !) I have wanted to do a turtle mould for ages, but I’ve been to unsure of which mould to buy. I did have this one in mind for its nice shape but it’s also very reasonably prices too, I think. Thanks for making this one, I think I may just pick it ! Just an fyi shocker for you … US Amazon won’t deliver those exact shells and when they won’t, they never include the price. However, I found the exact same shells on Amazon Canada, but only the 2 lb size, not 3 lbs like you have. The 2 lb size is $63 !!! So I’m getting a different (but similar) at Michael’s much cheaper at $14 per lb ! Isn’t that Amazon price nuts ?! Oh I loooove this!! Just an fyi, I looked for the shells. That colour is sold out on Amazon in the US. I looked on Amazon Canada… $107!! Third party sellers on Amazon love to gouge us out of country people lol Guess I won’t be getting them. This is so stunning! I especially love the coaster because the colours look deeper. ❤️

The problem with your resin measurement is that you put shell in your mold. The shell has taken up some of the liquid volume of your mold. Thanks for sharing! It rurned out great.

Is the extra resin maybe due to the room taken up by the abalone? I thought the measurements on the moles were definitely to do with how much resin they hold? Love those colours- aqua/teal seem to be my favourite at the moment too 🥰

I’ve made that same mistake way to much. Overestimate or forget to account for something I’ve added then had to run to my molds to try and use up the rest, lol. It’s all about learning for me. I don’t sell so I end up with a LOT of projects. I don’t like “wasting” the extra resin but eh, whatcha gonna do? I love the way these came out and I’m wondering if Temu sells something like those shells. Off to look!

That and when I decided up the colors to make a rainbow “peace” sign/hand I ended up pouring out too much red and couldn’t take it back, lol. You know the big one on Temu? I did the same with the “ok”. Well, that one might be that I can’t do math work a shit, lol. Told my sister, the math wiz, that I was going to get numbers for her from now on. Gotta know your weaknesses.
