Tom loves to talk and I enjoy listening to him. What’s funny is watching him squirm wanting to talk so badly. Like the kid with ADD in the classroom who just can’t wait to get his opinion in. Tom is a the one with that and is knowledgeable about what he is talking about because you can tell he genuinely loves to research this stuff.

You asked the right questions and you gave Tom plenty of time to answer. Did you ever get him to weigh in on his previous analyses or predictions? I wanted to hear, could have been distracted when you asked. Please continue to have guests like Tom who, as I see them, challenge the industry conversational clichés.

The United States has the Exchange Stabilization Fund. It has been 'suggested' that it was created under the Presidency of President Roosevelt after the government's collection of gold and served as the financial basis of it. It would equate to billions of dollars, after the price gold was upgraded. It continues to exist. The amount of its worth is likely to be expansive, as suggested by the late Rob Kirby. I know someone out there has more knowledge of this. Their insight is greatly welcomed and appreciated.

It's the mythology of the Malthusian death cultists in the Club of Rome (WEF) that the collapse of the financialized economy would bring Mad Max. Things would settle back into hard money, production of real world world goods. Deleveraging is always painful, but everyone still has to wake up and eat breakfast in the morning, even if they have to raise their own eggs and bacon. They can, you know. It ain't that hard.

He doesn't support centralized banking at all. You need to listen to more of his podcasts. He's simply being pragmatic given the reality of where we find ourselves. To think that it's remotely possible to immediately end the FED without killing 10's of millions of people through economic destitution is very one dimensional thinking.

Completely disagree based on 18 years of study of history and Austrian econ. All politics and social narratives are 100% the result of economics and the desire to warp it to the breaking point for power and control. This is a logical axiom and ties into the "iron law of bureaucracy". Study up on some praxeological economics - Mises' Human Action is a great start. Then check out Rothbard's Man Economy and State. Then read some Lysander Spooner and Frederic Bastiat. If you still hold your opinion after taking all that in and would love to hear why.

You are confusing competence with narcissism - which is common now days that people completely lack any critical thinking skills. He's excitable and loves to talk about this stuff. He also knows that 99% of people are so utterly ignorant of how the financial system works that every answer needs 30min of context so his point even makes sense. He does need to stop talking and allow a conversation to happen, sure, but calling him a narcissist? He's not even close if you have any actual, DSM IV understanding of the word.
