In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Unfortunately, he sponsors sofia university which used to be called institute of transpersonal psychology in Palo Alto, Ca. The school engages in deceiving and fraudulent enrollment of minority students. What's worse, staff and the founders sponsor, over and over, new age teachers which engage students in resource draining and often dangerous "transpersonal practices" I submitted grievances to the school. The school never responded and quickly rebranded and merge with another school. The school preyed on students who have a broad interest in social impact, mindfulness, etc. Tedtalk should review speakers' backgrounds more thoroughly.

he says we have a problem in "our own backyard" then immediately talks about refugees in other countries, only appealing to pathos. manipulative waste of time.
