Very informative, thanks! This "Financial times" thing must he doing well if some has gone as far to say that they're nearly as respected as your channel 😮😅

MSCI ACWI has left the chat

Yes, he's not comparing like with like

@firstsecond9569 correct, as explained (with direct reference to MSCI ACWI) in the video

@@FinancialInterestcom Yes, but that was only a few seconds. The bulk of the video was based on a comparison that made no sense

@firstsecond9569 it might make no sense to you as someone that already understands the differences (and it's great that you do!) but this was a topic that was requested by a reader who was looking for a global index fund and had landed on these two indices

@@firstsecond9569 I think that was the message of the video, what I took away from it was that MSCI & FTSE have key differences. I've set-up my bank account to auto invest 10% of my salary, which my bank by default puts into MSCI. Thanks to this video I have a better understanding of what that means and if I want to consider making any changes

Hi, great vid thank you. You say updates and rebalances don't really make much difference? So what actually happens at these reviews?
@FinancialInterestcom2 ай бұрын
You're welcome! We said there might not be a huge difference between updating quarterly and half-yearly, not that updating/rebalancing doesn't make a difference overall :)
@markt88202 ай бұрын
@FinancialInterestcom OK but what actually happens? For example do they remove stocks from the index that are underperforming?
@FinancialInterestcom2 ай бұрын
Yes, that's right. They add and remove companies if needed, as well as adjusting the weightings
