It's not like flipping a switch. It will take time to reverse the effects of climate change. We have been burning fossil fuels since the mid 1800s. The government doesn't keep the money from the carbon tax. The money is collected and returned as a rebate. The carbon tax rewards those who use less energy. For example, the mass transit user pays less carbon tax and the guy who drives a big truck pays more. Both get the same rebate. That seems both fair and reasonable.

Well I'd hate to say this but they had it coming. My heart goes out to every Canadian who has despised trump since day one. However, I've met many Canadians who supported trump all the way regardless of all his defects of character. A sizable chunk of Canadians have always liked trump yet on the same token despised their own Prime Minister Trudeau. I've even met autistic Canadians who rely on Government welfare for their monthly pay check handouts go on and on about how Trump was such a fine president and how much they disliked Trudeau on the other hand. So where are these Canadians now? Be careful what you wish for you might get it. I would imagine they should be happy and satisfied now that Trump will make their country into the 51st State. They must be so happy right?
