48 years young child free woman here and I’m sooooo grateful to my younger self for protecting my freedom and autonomy. My life is so much better in quality. And it’s a very full life as well. I have a garden and am able to give away fruit and veggies. And I’m an artist. I have a legacy, community, more income, social life, etc. Only have kids if you really truly want them and can provide for them! It’s not worth it. As weird and strange as this sounds, I feel population shrink in other countries is good for a country like India. This will make govts of those countries to encourage Indians to settle there thus giving us an edge. This is a win-win situation.

I see this as an absolute win. Machines have increased production. Fewer people = Less competition, More resources per person. That's why overpopulation is the problems, and government acknowledged that. But Now they are realizing that this will hurt the rich, who vastly benefit from overpopulation by having cheap labors. So now, governments are taking an U turn and promoting population.

Well said! Here is the same in Hungary. My wife and I can’t go on break if our only children is sick with out the boss saying something… we need support till our child is grown up not in the beginning. Oh I almost forgot because we was 35 years old when we had our daughter. We wasn’t eligible for almost any money from the Hungarian gov and because we don’t know 3-4 kids it will stay like that forever.
