Paul-thanks for making this video. Based on your review, I ordered and recently received my Global Shave Club ICE DE razor. I decided to order the chrome replitech version as I am not a fan of gold. Sheldon was offering this razor for $30 as a Father's Day special. The razor is beautiful-certainly the best looking non adjustable DE razor I have in my growing collection. Nice thick, heavy handle with excellent knurling that provides a sure grip. The razor provides a great shave--I had 3 days growth and it took care of it no problem. I agree with your review--it is certainly more aggressive than the DE89 or 34C but I would not consider this an aggressive razor. By the way, I also purchased the Lea shave cream (you are right--a massive tube!) The razor was delivered quickly and well protected; great service and post acquisition of the razor, I have traded emails with Sheldon-very nice guy. I'll likely be adding more Global Shave Club razors to my collection. Thanks for bringing them to my attention. See you tomorrow for the mid-week shave Paul!

Nice shave Paul - that Ice certainly makes some noise! I recommend the LEA balm in a glass bottle too. A change from my usual go-to Nivea and a lovely smell. Great arrangement too by the way Mrs H! 👌

Finally managed to get to a Saver shop and bought some Super Max Ocean Fresh After shave lotion. Not only is it great smelling but used as a toner it makes my skin feel great. Then a little moisturiser and I'm ready for the day. Thank you

Happy Sunday Paul! I love Mrs. H's signature arrangement; gorgeous! The LEA, pronounced in Spanish, should sound like Lay-ah. I am thinking about that huge tube of shaving cream. I believe I would like that. The ICE razor and blade combination...the sound of a knife scraping toast. Very loud indeed. Nothing wrong with comparing and contrasting all these razors. I like using the milder razors for a daily shaves when I need to do such. I find my face rewards me by not becoming irritated. I save the aggressive razors to tame the 2 day plus whiskers. I can get a BBS that lasts a day to a day and a half. Magic. That was a lovely shave. I like Stirling products; quality. The Barbershop, Bay Rum, Executive man scents are fantastic. I even like their bath soaps. We have that in common, I shave until it is smooth. It is damn annoying to me when I miss a whisker. The corners of the mouth are especial challenging. Oh, yeah, new DE shavers shouldn't do as you do, but as you say...for sure. We Sir Paul, are over-shavers. "Can't get closer than blood" is our motto. Take care.

Really enjoy the LEA shaving cream - I picked up the version in the tin while on holiday a couple years back and it was an instant hit. Nice scent, solid performance, and a decent hint of menthol. Paul. I think this was one of your best videos! I ordered Palmolive stick shaving and they were lost between Ireland and the US. At least I got my money back. They were dirt cheap when I ordered them through ebay...right before it was announced that they were discontinuing them. Go figure..I never lost any shipments in the mail accept this one. If you enjoy heavy razors you could have a look at the new copper DOC Ascension razor of PAA. It not only looks great, and shaves very well, but the weight is pretty good. First time I used it I thought I’d have muscle aches in my arm the next day :)

I had my first shave with the 70th edition soap from saponificio varesino. MAN, i like that stuff! The scent, the performance, the skin feel after it. Amazing! Expensive, but worth. I really enjoyed it :-) I bought the felce too, because i knew the scent and fell in love with it. Next shave, felce ;-)

Very nice video and thanks for comparing it to the other 2 razors. Hope Mrs H does well in her run (beautiful flowers as usual). I am going to predict that hard core EJ fans will rather get the EJ 3one6 than any other toy.... I do have the EJ89 and Muhle Grande + G34 and all are sleeping nicely in their boxes as I don't like how mild they shave. I stick to UK Gillettes or US adjustable.....

Always a great video. I liked the compare. That was great stopping mid shave for a real-time comparison. Although I don't see any great build quality to warrant running out and replacing an existing razor for one with a little bit more aggression. It looked to be a cheap casting of metal and their Quality Control is lacking. But, not knocking your vid it was a great one as always and the Flowers are always Stellar !!

All of our razors are manufactured at ISO 9000 facilities or better. This razor is made at probably the best known factory in India. Unfortunately Paul got one of the initial 12 that were made. ICE has become our fastest selling razor. With the initial 100 selling out in 10 days! As for our website, our conversion rate is fantastic. We have a great blog. We get lots of positive comments and very few negative ones, but if you would like to tell me what you think we can improve, please let me know. I would apreciate it.

Say Paul, thanks for the video. We do sell LEA and it is a wonderfully slick shave cream. The razor incidentally is not a pass around. We always receive our first dozen razors as a production sample run. Those are the ones we usually send to reviewers. This has never been a problem so I do apologize for the scratch. One more thing. My wife like Mrs. H. also has a green thumb. She has watched you r videos with her a few times. So I asked her "what flowers do you think ICE will get?" She answered "I hope its peonies. " Its her favorite flower too. And it was just what she was hoping for. Thanks Mrs. H. for that. One other thing of interest, the Canadian governement today is banning all disposable plastic products starting January 2021! No more disposable razors! Probably no cartridge razors either! We shall see.

Hi Paul I am enjoying your video relaxing time for me. I just got my first synthetic brush mediocre first experience need practice used to badger and boar. I am currently using a muhle r41 I can't see past it for it's performance and I use blue beards revenge blades and have great shaves with that combo. Have you used that brand of blades? Looks a good razor, thinking about it there are loads of razors out there with exactly or nearly exactly the same head as the edwin jagger DE89. Cucumber witch hazel must give that a try, gonna end up feeling like a salad lol. 😉👍

I regularly use the Lea soap in the aluminium tub with Musgo classic pre-shave oil and it gives a great shave. I leave the bathroom door open though - stops the cat from being able to throw herself against it... 😂

I love peonies. In midwest North America, they bloom at the end of May. The blooms do not last long, but smell wonderful. I always know that summer is finally here when peonies bloom. My aunt had a whole hedge of them when I was a lad. I would plant some, but my wife says peonies draw ants. I don't know whether that is true, but some neighbors have some so when I go for a walk, I give 'em a sniff.

Hi Paul- nice shave. Unfortunately I’ve had a negative experience with Global shave Club ;about a year ago I ordered a couple of razors which I never received despite repeated attempts to correct the problem, repeated promises to correct the issue, make it up to me, etc. Ultimately I did not receive anything at all and was out the cost. As I kept waiting on their request/promises, it was too late to recover the cash from PayPal. I gave up on trying to recover the money; did not want to repeatedly waste my time on trying to get them to fix the problem. Thankfully this has been my only negative experience in dealing with a number of wet shaving vendors although I’ll definitely be less trusting in the future! Sorry for the monologue- it just really irritated me when I saw the razor you received... Regardless I always enjoy your vids and will continue to follow you!! Congrats on the 13000!

A while ago we made the mistake of changing our computer system. During that period a lot of data got lost. We also at the same time, changed our fulfillment partner. As such we had a Rocky period. Good shave Paul...some things just can't replace the original. This is one of those razors...Looks Cheap...My de89 and the D34G and my progress will last me a life Time...for the money they cannot be duplicated...shaving cream looks great. Shaved with my Jagger DE89 today. I recently bought 2 vintage razors and I soaked in bleach , bleach kills everything. I’m new to this . Anyone else use just bleach to sanitize ? 💈

I would stay away from bleach with the vintage Gillette's, a bit too strong, and could react with the metal...Barbercide or I use anti-bacterial soap and dish washing soap....hope you enjoy using the razors :-)

Edwin Jagged head on a Gillette Tech handle it looks like. anyone else pick it up?

You are 100% right. The handle was inspired by the Gillette Tech fat handle. One of the most popular handles of all times. So we enlarged it to four inches and made it about twice the diameter. Then we CNC machined it out of a solid block of brass. I sort of designed it as a present to myself. Now about the head... Most of the razors sold worldwide have an Edwin Jagger style head. But the origin of that style of head dates back to the mid 1930s and to India, where it was invented. It was never patented, so it became popular with many manufacturers around the world, but especially in the Indian sub continent. Now Ice actually has less of a blade gap than the Edwin Jagger. If you look carefully however, our head curves the blade just a tad less. That it is why it is a touch more aggressive than the Edwin Jagger. The handle is made in India. The head is cast in Chicago.
