[Global] Throne and Liberty: Fresh 50 - Outrider (GS/Xbow) PvP

Duels against the Dagger/Xbow - I forgot to use the damage reduction Davinci skill specialization which is insanely strong against xbows right now but still, I didn't expect the matches to be so close - great play from him. Dagger/Xbows seems to be in a great spot this early game. Fighting against Joei, I didn't realise how insane Longbow's heals were. At this point in the game where time to kill is high, Longbows are super solid classes to play 👍. I had another fight after against Joei and loss but didn't save the recording, you can watch that over on his PoV to see me get wrecked 😅. Spin to win is great, especially against large packs with your Gale procs. If you are fighting smaller scale fights though, you must take notice of SNS's Bastion buff because that basically negates all your damage until you get better damage and bonus damage.

@Fishingsloth I really cant decide to go with either xbow and gs or xbow and dagger. I really like pve ascpet and doing a lot of aoe damage but at the same time i feel that dagger somehow will make my engages easier and make me feel more useful in 3v3 and 1v1. Could you try please to specify what would be the main differences between this 2 builds? I didnt play throne and liberty before, just a bit on beta and i just loved xbow so much and wanna fit other weapon for it. Thank you for any replays in advance!

I'm so sorry for the late reply. I'm going to guess you already picked GS/Dagger because if so, it is a great top tier Arena class and fairly easy to gear up and go online. GS/Xbow requires quite a bit of gear to have the same impact but does have its own advantages like having a built in trinket, cc immunity on your Nimble Leaps and ranged which prevents a lot of kiting. Having a mix of melee and ranged damage also helps prevent being negated by people who full focus one defensive like all into melee evasion or all into ranged evasion. GS/Dagger is crazy good though, the invis does help engages and disengages. You also have the dagger evasion passive which is very strong in the current meta for global, smoke bomb cloud is also a very good dagger skill great for 3v3s and 1v1s. Not to mention their one shot combo once you get up enough gear, a very solid class.

@@Fishingsloth hey thanks for the vids/explanation, I wanted to ask specifically why play XBOW/GS over XBOW/DAGGER? What are the pros/cons versus because I would love to play XBOW/GS but my guild doesn't think its viable and only wants XBOW/DAGGER.

question, why do you use the gs instead of daggers? i considered this build mostly for that backline zvz multikillfeed explosive dps but i think daggers would be better due to the cloaking right? what makes the gs better? it was the build the guy was using to beat you back to back in the 1v1s as well. but idc about 1s really

This video is pvp right as soon as I hit level 50 so it doesn't translate well to how pvp actually is in Throne and Liberty, was just some quick fun. I did also make a mistake with not taking Davinci damage reduction but he played well regardless. Both have their pros and cons - if you're looking for the tried and true method, go with xbow/dagger, there are a ton of great resources out there. GS/xbow is a niche off-meta class but does have some nice interactions that makes it have the potential to be great like unlimited mana which is required to maximize the gale explosions from your spin. Xbow/daggers, like you said, has the advantage of stealth which is a super powerful tool - so you can pick your engages, even better if you have Tevent's dagger which allows you to restealth after kills. Smoke bomb is also a really nice defensive skill that also affects your party members but like I said earlier about gale explosions needing mana, the brunt of your damage will be in the first 1-2 seconds of spin when you dive bomb but that is usually enough anyway especially if you have your allies with you. If you want to check out some xbow/dagger dive bombs - I think Grimkill and itsBloo are doing well on NAE right now with their dives 👍.

@@Fishingsloth im definitely not into the overhyped meta builds. i like keen off meta ones. what do you think is the most fun bomber for zvz i was thinking either cbow, dagger, or wand/dagger? i watched a lot of videos on that and i think the general consensus is to just take advantage of sleeps and pop in with the cbow/daggers vs actually using the wand for sleeps yourself. just looked like in the vids that i saw that wand/daggs were much more fun with the control element

Late game, the build is definitely viable. It is an off-meta build though so from that alone, you can see a vast majority of players prefer other specs. I think it definitely has the potential to perform very well though but you do need quite a bit of gear.

Why not main hand xbow/gs ? Xbow passive off hand wep crit buffs right?

Sorry for the late reply. Off-hand chance is a confusing name for xbows and daggers. It doesn't mean having the weapon stowed away but is more like a chance to hit the target an additional time, almost like a heavy attack. For Xbow/GS, you definitely want your xbow out mainhand because every auto attack has the Mother Nature's Protest effect applied to it which also recovers your mana and health because of the GS passive. This basically gives the class an unlimited mana pool which is insane at this point in the game.

Sorry for the late reply, yea being fresh out of 50 - it is lacking a lot but is everyone else really. As you gear up, you are no longer reliant on spin and feels much more smoother to play.
