the two tracks I have here in NorCal division are both elevation tracks with 100 ft difference throughout each track thunderhill and Sonoma. when I was training just getting started they scared the hell out of me and I still hate blind hill turns.

Think you'd get cleaner corners with a rear diffuser? Nissan Power!!

A good diffuser will always help!

wow mate thank god you didnt put the car into the wall... i know how you feel ... that would definitely shake the confidence and theres no way you're going flat out for that to happen again mid corner...scary stuff .. the whole care just died.

The moment I realized this track in Forza 6 lol...I didn't even read the title...I was just like why does this track seem so familiar to me....then I realized oh its Road Atlanta.

Whats up micheal. Nice ride man. I have a 350z myself and am wanting to get into time attacks and track racing. How did you get started in all this and where are you from man? Also what kind of set up on the engine do you have and is a vq35hr or de? Unfortunately I have a 05 vq35de revvup engine but I could still put out around 550 hp eventually. But what parts would you recomend replacing in sequence in order to make a awesome track car. Should I focus on power first, or handling and balance. Just looking for some tips. Im still young and pretty poor so im just starting out but I would love more than anything to do what you do. This looks liks the life.

Look for local organizations that host HPDE events. Check nasaproracing.com to see if they have any events in your region as well. Everyone starts off doing these events type of events. Don't even mod your car.

Look at the beginning of the video, he has a DE and its not a rev up, but its a built motor making 312whp. Hes also from London, ontario Canada.

Wait, lol, when your car died at 0:53 what caused it to spin out? did the engine also cut out too, causing the rear tires to lock up?

blacksoilder10 Curious about this too.

Xo na blacksoilder10 like he said in the 0:41 , the battery terminal came lose at 185 kph, just take a look at the cluster closely as it's shutting down it self. i may not have a degree on mechanics but i'm pretty sure that when the car shuts down, the steering automatically jammed up and there are no use to push the brakes as it locked up as well.

Great sound - not a fan of the sound of a lot of Zs, but yours is definitely on the short list of great sounding examples.

There are lots of events. Look into programs in HPDE first. (High Performance Driver Education) at the local tracks. In your area I believe a lot are organized by the SCCA and NASA, (National Auto Sport Association). Handling and grip is definitely more important than power in terms of setting fast lap times.

Ok thanks Micheal I thinks there's a few tracks around me in Atlanta, I'll look into HPDE. Sounds good I'll start looking into suspension, tires, and weight then make my way towards the engine. Who know one day we may be racing side by side.

How does Porsche develop 500 crank.hp from the 4.0 boxer six, yet the VQ 3.8 struggle to even break 350 crank.hp? Does the VQ not breathe well? -Robert

Money

That is not an answer

+Robert Wolfe porsche spends more MONEY on engine research and development than Nissan resulting in higher horsepower per liter engines. Two car companies with very different markets to target. Also remember Nissan has the GTR for big power.
@SilverStackers8 жыл бұрын
this same engine (3.5 liter) made 375 whp(maybe 430 crank) with itbs. but yes, money into research and development is what makes the difference. porsche just tacks it on to the cost of the vehicle.
