Global Traces - Week 2 - Round up

Join us for our second week as we settle in more to full-time travelling in Bebe. We cross in to Spain, complete some very important admin that’s crucial to our future travel plans, explore the areas we’re in and generally have a fun week even the weather isn’t the best all the time. Oh, and a tractor protest or two holds us up!
And, after many questions, we reveal our plans for the next 12 months.

Fantastic plan, not jealous at all 😂 When in Spain, if you get chance, you won’t be disappointed with a visit to Segovia. Fabulous Castle, double Roman aqueduct, Cathedral as well as great food. I toured Spain by Motorcycle a few years ago and cannot wait to go back 🥰

Sounds like there’s enough to also keep Isla entertained and running about burning off some energy 😂. My parents toured Spain and Morocco on their motorbikes many moons ago and loved it. Fabulous start to an amazing adventure ❤ will romania and Bulgaria joining the shengan affect your plans? Will you manage ok with the 90/180 rule or will you need a long stay visa at some point?

It will indeed. It’s quite the pain but we can do the “Schengen Shuffle” by hopping out to non-Schengen zones to reset, or moving through more quickly - that’s the real downside - we have to move faster through countries in Schengen zone faster thereby not seeing as much or putting as much money back in to the local economies. Brexit - the gift that keeps on giving 🤦‍♂️ We may investigate long stay visas at some point if we want to stay anywhere longer.

Hi Dave, just wondering do you have to use drivers Tacho cards?

Hi Marco, no we’re exempt as a PHGV Motorcaravan. That said, since we can both drive we split the driving anyway so we’re always well under hours. In fact, we rarely do more than 4hrs in a day, and if we do, we don’t usually go anywhere the next day.
