My mom got cancer at 43… she ve received a prophesy for healing… I was 15… she passed at 46 cancer spread to her lungs… She was the leader of Dorca s ministry at church. We saw many healings in the crusades in Argentina. I believe in healing… my dissapoitment was more in how the church behave with my family… like “ you didn’t have enough faith for her healing” and “your mom might of have secret sins” I fell in a very depression for a year… I was confused, lonely, disappointed… “ One a day a dear friend invited me to a home group… the leader came to me during worship and said “‘God wants your pain… He is your Father… let Him comfort you” I cried for long time and came back to Him!

I am so very sorry for your loss, Beloved Sister. When we are in pain, it is so easy to loose sight of God. And when we go searching for the answer to why it happened to us, it gives the devil a chance to get into our minds and hearts, and we know he works best when he works through the people around us. I have experienced a lot of loss in this life, and every time I wasn't firmly rooted in belief that I was a beloved child of God despite my pain, the devil stole from me. He stole my hope, mt protector, my comfortor, my friend, my Father, my confidant, my Saviour, my Lord. Then satan is free to wage war on us. I am so blessed to hear you returned to following God. Sister, I pray you anchor your identity in Him so that when the next loss happens, you abide in Him as He is your best, and only, way to overcome your grief and pain and stay whole. Yes,sadly the church doesnt know how to graciously handle apparent 'failure'...As Paul says to b absent from the Lord is to b present with the Lord...that person wins alive or dead because they know Christ.It is those who are left who have to overcome their loss& disappointment.I too went thru this& people dont know how cruel this 'karma' mentality can b.It is potentially soo destructive& heaps on a greater burden at a time when comfort& kindness are so needed.God bless you.Suffering has ended for your Mum....

Sounds good but I know so many people that have done this and suffered physically, mentally, etc at the hands of abusers. Is there a balance that should be discussed? At some point is their enabling sin? The whole counsel of God would be also to consider other factors. But agree that always running or running for wrong reasons isn't good either. Though it may be protection for some people at times.

Bill, I'm wondering... when you start taking about Saul's anointing (47:43) and how the Lord anointed him after he became king, my question is: does the Lord anoint positions rather than persons? While yes, the person receives the anointment upon gaining the anointed position, but could it be that the position is Anointed prior to the person gaining the position and therefore the person gains the anointment after attaining the position? I wondered this because I have seen non-believers get a position to where they seem to have gained in anointment once gaining the position. Which makes me wonder if the Lord anoint the position because of the impact that position has on others?
