My late father, who was also from Meerut, used to take us to the original Bundu Khan restaurant on M.A. Jinnah Road, Karachi starting in the sixties. Alhaj Bundu Khan Saheb always used to be there, a tall imposing figure in white kurta, pagri and flowing henna red beard. He would walk around greeting guests at every table. Would talk with my father about Meerut. We kids would be in awe and slightly scared of this fierce looking gentleman. Kabab paratha always the best and incomparable. Living in Canada for over thirty years now miss it dearly. Thank you Yahya for the memories.💕

Many people may not know that Al Hajj bundu khan and famous Aslam chicken in Delhi are close relatives. Bundu khan is OG bbq in Karachi but they lost their taste now and now many better options are available here but I still believe whatever they serve in Dubai is 60% of what they serve in karachi. I wish nothing but best of luck to them. May Allah give barakah in their business.
