Russian architect is not remarkable in Helsinki. Before being an autonomious oblast of Russian Empire of tsar (100 years) Finland was a part of Sweden over 600 years. Mostly the architect of Helsinki is neoclassicism, jugend and Nordic. Forinstance a german architect Karl Ludwig Engel designed a lot of buildings for Helsinki and St Petersburg.

Big parts of central Helsinki was built by Russians and is typical architecture for Russians of that time. Also I guess you can count the commie blocks of Eastern Helsinki as Russian style architecture lol

The Senate Square between the University main building and the Government Palace (former Imperial Senate) us typically empty with only occasional events. Btw what is that Russian inspired architecture part of one church. If you mean the neoclassical architecture, ever looked at the White House.
