how can i buy this outside USA ?? any release date for the rest of the world ? i whant to buy it in LATAM

Stoked to see this one in person. The $700 premium over the ST is $3-$400 too much. One hundred pounds 🤯. That said, I can’t wait to try one out!
@EMTBReview9 ай бұрын
Yessir. Price difference is a bit high. Good news is it's still a good value compared to the competition.

@@EMTBReview Yup, GH ST/LT are hitting a sweet spot. I dig the Benno Boost and Tern Quick Haul, both for different reasons, but neither have a throttle which can be super helpful when loaded down at a stop light.

Great review. Awesome bike. When shopping cargo bikes this was on the list until I saw that it lacked any suspension. Relying only on the tires for suspension is a misstep. Front suspension and seat post suspension are essential in this category of bike and should be included at least on the Long Tail version. Also, I am fan of the Bosch mid drive/battery systems. Didn’t want a hub motor or one that screamed “e-bike”. Though it is beautifully built, has a plethora of accessories, and is priced nicely in relation to more established German Brands in this space. But because of the lack of suspension I chose the Tern GSD gen 2.

Great comment. I just published a video on how to install a suspension seat post on this bike. It helps quite a bit.

I wonder a versus of this bike against a Yuba Spicy Curry. I made my spicy curry into a flat bar and it made it a lot better on my wrist. I would like to see the differences between both on performance and maneuverability

man those cool caves look so cool. too bad about the noise (and price) lol.

I'm in between this and the yuba fastrack, do you plan to review that and perhaps compare cargo bikes sometime in the future?
@EMTBReview9 ай бұрын
I will take a look at the Yuba. The Globe Haul is a special bike though, especially the ST. It's so unique and functional. And it rides so well!!

when you say you did a 1,000ft hill. Do you think you could do that with one or two small kids on the back pretty comfortably? Or would you have to stand up and get after it? Pretty big hills here in Austin, TX so I wonder
@EMTBReview9 ай бұрын
Good question. This hill was about 8% steep and i was comfy with maybe a medium pedaling effort. With two small kids in the back, that would be pretty tough with this bike. Maybe a 4% uphill grade. The thing with hub motors is no matter how powerful, they don't benefit from the gearing of the bike. So they want speed and momentum as that's when the hub motor is most powerful and cool. So it's good to start a hill with a lot of speed and keep a high speed throughout the climb. Once the motor bogs down and the bike slows to under 5mph, the motor really can't use its power and get back up to speed.

Great question @RalphKeith2905. Price aside, is the LT or ST more enjoyable to ride?
@EMTBReview9 ай бұрын
LT is a smoother ride, like a limo and ST is more fun and agile. It's easier to turn, park and jump!! If one doesn't need all that space, get the LT and spend the extra funds on accessories!!!
@ralphkeith29059 ай бұрын
Aside from the price - which model did you prefer - the ST or LT? $700 is a premium price to pay for the added length, but does that additional length add substantially more usability/versatility?
@EMTBReview9 ай бұрын
For my situation, I think I prefer the ST. I don't have small kids anymore and the ST can haul a lot of stuff, especially with all the cargo accessories. It is more playful and easier to get in and out of the garage. Folks who want to haul a passenger regular, especially tall riders will want the LT since there's not much room back there when the seat is extended out.

I hate E bikes but as a 44 year old dad of a 2 year old, I haul her in a burley everywhere. But mom doesn’t want to. This might work for us as it fits both of us and 2 can sit on the back in a pinch. The ST had me interested but this is what I wanted
@EMTBReview9 ай бұрын
Yes, this is a great solution. And it's a real bike so it has proper ergonomics and you can pedal with power off around 12 mph and get a brisk workout. The key is it opens up options and you are going to use it a lot more and lot farther, in less time.

Does anyone make a bike rack to put ON the haul's back rack? I typically put my mtb on my car rack and drive to the trail but it would be cool to throw it on this thing and pedal to the trailhead instead.

We haven't seen one. Would love to fabricate one soon.

Do the side baskets not have a cover for rainy days?
@EMTBReview9 ай бұрын
Unfortunately not. They come with a cargo net with hooks that attach to the top holes. Also, there are drain holes at the bottom of the bins.

@@EMTBReview This makes little sense. I guess that they think that people who want to go shopping during winter will just take their car.

Can the LT carry two adults?
@EMTBReview9 ай бұрын
Yes, the rear rack is rated for 177 lbs.
@piepkwiep43129 ай бұрын
That seat post with this length is at an angle that is far too large. I think it will bend or break. And it's really easy to steal.
@EMTBReview9 ай бұрын
The diameter is massive so it should hold up. As far as theft, good point. The quick release at the bottom can be changed to a bolt. The top quick release doesn't actually allow post removal, just sliding.
@kilowatt85219 ай бұрын
The noise of that hub motor is off-putting to me. I'd go for a Tern Quick Haul instead.

Yeah, it's a factor. Quiet normally but gets loud under load.
