What do you think about the motor? Does it make sense to replace the belt for the more durable one and add sealing to the case and rollers?

bought one of these november last year used with less than 10 miles on it. wanted to see if i would like an emtb without investing thousands (paid just under 1k). absolutely loved riding it, so much so that i ended buying 2 fezzari wire peaks, one with the EP8, DVO suspension, Stan's rims with cush core and one with EP6 set up with Stan's rims, got them both on clearance for a killer price. one thing not mentioned here or that i've seen elsewhere is that the fork is complete trash if you plan to ride mtb trails, anything more than a dirt or gravel road and it sounded like it was going to explode (fyi i ride in florida so no huge chunky stuff) but for the price you could pick up a decent air fork and it would be well worth it. the motor is really strong and pretty quiet. i was able to get it up to 29.8 mph on the road. i'd like to ride the aventon ramblas and see how it compares because at this price i'm thinking the prodigy xc would be a better deal. anyway hope this may help someone who's on the fence. cheers

Tried the Mezcal (R) Barzo (F) combo last year. SOLD! So good!!! I may get the new lighter versions, and just go Mezcal f&r. If anyone reading wants more grip in the front, the Barzo hits way above its billed "xc" weight for grip.
@EMTBReview2 күн бұрын
Great comment, yes. Yes, these tires do grip above their weight class.

Old habits die hard! I also do this, but it came from getting flats in tubes, and needing a reference point to check for the offending puncture material left in the tire. Now that all(sane) riders are tubeless, who cares!!! Aesthetics, I know. 😆

massivelly overpriced, massively!!! Plus the frame is so Fat, what they have to come up is with something like Levo Turbo Hardtail 2021 and make it full suspnesion and attach fenders, but they dont want do that as they want you to pay for this heavy bike for no reasons
@EMTBReview2 күн бұрын
It’s expensive compared to competition from Chinese company bikes. But for a specialize mid powered full suspension bike, it’s a good option.

Thank you for the review. Do you run a liner in the front wheel, or only the back? I am a bit worried about sidewall durability.
@EMTBReview2 күн бұрын
I have not run a liner in the front tire, mostly because they only gave me one liner. Because it’s so light I would use it in the front as well.

Francis, is this still your ATF full power eBike? I had a Decoy for a year and sold it because I never used it. Just got back from Bentonville where we used eBikes the whole trip and I want another one now. I know so many people who have these and say they are the best, but I struggle because I deeply dislike Specialized as a company for many reasons. Want to be sure before I become a huge hypocrite. Swore to everyone I know that I would never buy another Specy and I might have to eat those words.

You missed the "Brake Bundler" option. You could have got an additional 10% off each item during the 20% off site wide sale if you had bought at least one item in each of the following categories: (1)brakes, (2)rotors and brake mounts, (3) accessories. My Dominion A4 brakes were $180 per side, and I bought 203mm D-series rotors front and rear along with brake mounts, and the Hayes Brake Alignment tool (worthless in my opinion). I hesitated when submitting my order, and when I came back the next day, I saw the "Brake Bundler" option, which I checked out, and that saved me another 10% off the brakes, mounts, and rotors.

Interesting rack but not what I’m looking for. Suggestions please. Girlfriend (petite 112lbs) is getting a step thru ebike with fenders (which adds some rack challenges) that’s just over 50lbs with battery. I’m looking for a single bike rail rack (convertible to more bikes is ok) for her to use that is also ramp compatible, hopefully easy to use and reasonably stable. Bonus if the rack doesn’t weigh a ton but I’ll be dealing with that. Any suggestions welcome thanks 🙏

What's the length of the ramp, is it metal or plastic? Dows it attach to the rack for storage or do you have to store it in the vehicle?

I am an old cyclist who now pedals slowly on flats these days and have found these shoes absolutely brilliant , they are a synch to fasten with perfect pressure evenly on the foot and remarkably waterproof , I know they don't run cheap but you forget the cost once you wear them .

#7 I HATE relying on throttle on my hub drive ebike. The chainring is so big the bike is so heavy, makes fatbiking so hard. Hills too. Looking to change to a smaller chainring to help get it going without the motor.
