Yes Singapore Airlines and British Airways livery is evergreen. Never ages and should never ever changed. So is Singapore Girl's sarong kebaya. They're all timeless..

The “ALL” green was immediately recognizable - the euro white is dull /boring & unimaginative . They could easily have played around with the green & be more adventurous

I agree. Being they chose Eurowhite they should have put Aer Lingus in the sides in huge letters. Just like the old One Pan Am plans were branded. You could see them coming The small font they went with does nothing for their Brand. I think the more I think about it I like the green planes.

Initially I thought it bland but I must admit it has grown on me and I think it looks quite stylish . While the last livery may have been from 1996 the green top fuselage actually dated from the early 70s when Aer Lingus was one of the leaders in the livery trend with KLM . So it is a big move for them to go eurowhite- can you imagine KLM going eurowhite?

The aer lingus 1996 theme was the most eye catching livery they have ever produced . But todays airlines are seeking for a greater profit as they have hardly impacted by the pandemic. So when it comes to the livery lot of airlines are going for much cheaper euro white colour. ( As a Sri Lankan here same thing is done our airplanes are also euro white) And those nice paint livery's that reigned in the 1990 s and 2000 are gone .

@@kerryfantv4939 it saves them money using the euro white livery, when the plane is all dark green it gets hotter which leads to extra fatigue which then leads to needing to be repaired more which is expensive, and many airlines are doing this to keep up with modern times, nowadays want simple, not fancy.

Virgin-Atlantic was one of the first ones that I noticed years ago, that was pretty much all-white, with a thinly stenciled name. Quite interesting that livery has been.

the old livery was iconic because it always stood out and Green is a big deal in Irish culture. While a lot of good can be said about the old livery, it was dated. From a branding standpoint it would have been harder to make a modern livery that mainly uses green, and if they pulled it off it could be seen as a major downgrade; like how people still believe the bare metal AA livery is better

Airlines are adopting "Eurowhite" due to the lower weight of this paint compared to other colors. In fact, expect the combined Korean Air/Asiana to use some sort of Eurowhite livery.

Umm. It is -50 degrees at cruise altitude. I can't imagine colour matters or adjusts a maintenance schedule. Cars on the ground are different. Air conditioning still runs due do body heat and insulation.

But i do not complain for the current livery. But in my opinion the titles should be much larger , so it brings and a nice looking fuselage ( instead of euro white fuselage with that tiny titles ) . I would not go with the tail as it looks glamorous . 🎉🎉🎉

Eurowhite! Cheap to apply. Cheap to look at. Too muck 'sameness' with other liverys. Liked the previous livery more. Hope KLM don't go down the 'Eurowhite' path.

Ye the livery is straight up watered down and doesn’t even represent Ireland at all. Every time I see their new livery I tend to care less about it. I honestly think their old livery was way better, iconic and stands out way more than their new one. I feel like they should’ve enhanced their old one in ways where it doesn’t jump the trend of eurowhite and doesn’t go too crazy like how Condor did with their new livery.

I hate this " Eurowhite livery" stupid fashion. This type of livery is the worst-ever designed. Every livery in Europe is literally the same now. Now almost all airplanes flying in Europe are ugly. Every livery change during the last few years was for the worse. The best, the most beautiful liveries were designed in 80' and 90'. If something is good there is absolutely no reason to change it even if it is "25 years old". Changing a logo or livery just because others do it and blindly following others is absolutely stupid behavior. Unfortunately, this is the case not only in Europe. The new United livery is also worse than the previous one. I am a big aviation fan. Who spent a lot of time standing just behind the airport fence and taking pictures. In the past, it was fun because each airline was unique. Now it is getting boring :(.

I felt the livery change was well over due though I liked the old one . Not all aircraft have had the repaint so at Dublin apron one can compare and contrast . I quite like the fresher look . Another point , as EI is a member of IAG I would think aircraft transfer within the group , EI to IB would require minimal paint revision and therefore less time and expense in the paint shop .

First, Qantas came up with the white fuselage and swoopy red tail. Then, Lufthansa copied the design and changed the colour to blue and the logo to the flying bird. Now, Aer Lingus. Just stop it!

I believe that one of the main reasons for airlines going for the Eurowhite colour scheme is not also down to cost, but also weight reduction, I have been reliably informed that coloured paints are actually heavier than white. The new Aer Lingus livery I do not like, but it looks better on the Aer Lingus regional aircraft.
