They turned it from the easiest to replace with the gen 4, to the hardest with the gen 5. That spring is no joke.

Thank You very nice video. I wonder why Glock just doesn't do that in the first place. I just bought a new Glock 47 yesterday and tore the crap out of my finger nails trying to get it apart. Its truly not an easy job if you keep your fingernails short and if you are an older guy like me.

my gen5 wouldnt drop free, no matter how i tried to depress the spring. finally, i just pushed down on the top of the original bar, then pushed it out from the side. the spring couldnt hold it in when i did that, so it came right out.

1:30 - This is not true at all. I have a timney trigger on my gen 5 g45 and the field strip process is no different than it was originally.

I am having issues with my slide release lever. When the slide is on my weapon the lever sits in the middle rather than fully in the up position. I can literally just push my slide right off. Have any tips?

The spring that applies tension to the slide release maybe out of place or broken?

@@mikeshorsepowergarage7577 naw the spring still has alot of tension. I think they gave me a gen 3 recoil spring instead of gen 4.
