From all I’ve read the shield arms mags are pretty much as reliable as OEM. I’m switching, will determine for myself afterwards. Won’t carry until after extensive testing, familiarization and training. New gun, new skills... First pistol RDS and sometimes I have difficulty finding dot on a rifle - so may not be able to work this at all :(

I used Magpul 9mm for my gen 5, gen 4 Glocks. I have seen a few minor blibs with factory rounds but the lower price 💵 makes the Magpul Glock mags handy.

@@DavidLLambertmobile haven't seen any magpul mags for the 43x. I do run them on my G17 and my PSA Dagger. They're great at the range and I've yet to have any hiccups. Once I get home, I load them up with the OEMs.

I have 4 swampfox optics. One Justice(27mm), 2 Liberty, and 1 Kingslayer. All have been excellent. Haven't tried the Sentinel, but I assume it's great as well. Nice looking kit there. I'm in love with my Shield Plus, but I do like the G48 alot.

The only thing I swayed away with swamfox is you needed to uninstall the optic to change the battery like the rmr unlike the K series of holosun which having ease of changing and probably not needed to re zeroed it again just in case. Swampfox is a good quality optic I had one with my AR rifle good quality though and cheaper for what you can get than the other LVPO.

I actually agree with you on that. My main carry piece has a 407c. Being that I have I options I really wanted to try it out. Having to check zero after installing a new battery is just another excuse to go to range. I'll take it! Lol. Not everyone has those options, so, you bring up a very valid point. The s15 mags are a must have in my opinion. Having those extra 5 rounds makes the 43x MOS perfect for EDC.

I ran them in my 48 and had a couple of misfeeds, not many, but it did happen. I haven't had a single issue with oem. I run a +4 baseplate from Ghost Inc. with the oem mags and it has been 100% for me. I agree with you though, the extra 5 rounds makes it a great EDC...as long as they work. I did. I forgot which numbers I used. One longer than the other so that it doesn't touch the extractor. The website tells you which ones to use.

Absolutely...I wouldn't go too high, though. I've seen people using G19 suppressor sights that take up half of the window.

Ridin dirty only downfall the swampfox automatic does not have the capability to stop an intruder at night time without a laser. Turn of all your lights and try to find the dot looking down a dark hallway or staircase.

Question: I know with just the sentinel attached, you barely have enough for co-witness. If you were to attach the ironside protective shroud to it, will co-witness still be there? You barely get the co-witness without the shroud. I did install the shroud when I first got the optic just to see what it looked like, but, I didn't pay attention to the co-witness. My apologies, but, I can't say for sure. Worst case scenario you may have to get some taller sights. Try things out until you get it just right. Enjoy!

Great video. Im looking fo a laser to put on mine, but it seems in order to holster it i have to go with thr light / laser combo. Whike the streamlite does look better having the toggle so close to thr trigger makes me wonder if i screw up will i accidentally hit thr trigger and discharge thr gun.? Depending on what laser you get, I'm sure there's a holster company that will accommodate, you may just have to do some research. As far as accidentally pressing the trigger while manipulating the light, highly unlikely. The way it's designed your finger needs to be straight and outside the trigger guard. Make sure your training at the range and doing dry fire reps at home to become better antiquated with operating the light. If you're going with the TLR-7 Sub, I recommend Slim Fit Holsters or Byonek Arms Concealment. But, there are many companies that have a holster for this setup. Here's a video of my setup. I don't think it's a bad choice at all. Mine is still running strong. The model is the Sentinel. There are two versions. Manual and Auto. I have the manual. Check their website first and see which option is better for you. I appreciate you swinging by 👊🏽

Brand is Handle it Grips and this is their Edge Series. Yea those Shield grips are pretty aggressive. I personally wouldn't change it unless you're looking for less grip.

In need of help, I have a Glock 43x mos with a swamp fox sentinel red dot optic and metal outer cover for it. I used lock tite and did every thing by all the information available. However, every time I go to qualify with the Glock 43x mos the red dot flies right off the slide and the front sight also loosens. This has happened twice now. (Side note this doesn’t happen on my Glock 45 mos.) I did notice after cleaning the 43x that the left screw is tight but the right screw stays loose no matter how much I tighten it. I’m guessing the right side threading is worn in the slide? What do I do in this instance? Open to any suggestions, I’m pretty good at applying red dots and suppressor height sights and working on my Glocks but I could use some help in this situation. Any suggestions would help, thank you in advance. Sorry for any grammar mistakes.

I gotta be honest...I'm not an expert with your particular situation. But, to me, seems like the threads were stripped. If I come across anything I'll pass it along. I would suggest taking it to a gunsmith. Did you loctite the front sight post too?

They have 50,000 round warranty. I haven't had use their customer service as of yet. I have a couple of Holosuns myself. You really can't go wrong either way. Now, the 507k has multiple reticle options. If that's your preference you gotta go with 507k.

I used the provided screws that came with the optic...8.6mm. I've since found out Swampfox recommends using the 10.1mm on the left and 8.6mm on the right (when viewed from the rear). I still have the 8.6mm on both sides and no issues almost a year later. Hope this helps and thanks for stopping by!

But I wanted to specifically see the co witness and the relative window size of that sentinel because I currently have the 407K on my 43XMOS and tyrant tall sights. And I hate that I only have view of half my window now. The sentinel may prevent the need to buy new sights again. Its surprisingly hard to find a review of the sentinel that's thorough and thoughtful and answers all the important questions. One of its claim to fame is a relatively larger window than the RMR or Holosun. So I was angry you didn't show that. OK?

@@DallasJonez Got it bro! I now understand your frustration. It's ok. I doubt the Sentinel alone would resolve your issue. Even though the window is taller, it sits lower because no plate is needed, in my opinion. C&H Percision Weapons offers what they call "Low Witness" backup sight that appears to be a good solution for any 43x/48 with an optic. Considering some for myself. I know you said you wanted to avoid getting new sights. C&H is selling them for $40-$45 which isn't too, bad. Also, with the stock glock sights you barely get a co-witness if you wanna call it that. You can maybe see the upper ⅓ of the front post. I do plan on changing them. I'm no expert (as you can tell) but, I try to share my experience and my love for firearms. Not sure if this helps, but, I'll always try. I know some people will be let down and that's ok. It's all love over here 👊🏽
