Glock GEN 4 Back Strap Kit

Glock GEN 4 Back Strap Kit for GEN4 Glocks.
Sold individually, the Gen 4 Back Strap Grip inserts are placed onto the back of the grip to increase the grip size.
The Gen4 Glock comes with a "0" insert which gives the user the standard "SF" size grip.
The "2mm" insert gives the user the standard Glock handgun grip size found on Gen3 Glocks.
The "4mm" insert gives the user a larger grip....for those with large hands.
The user can attach either a 2mm or 4mm insert to the back of the frame to modify the grip to the size that best suits their needs.

I prefer the Grip-Force adaptor. It ships with a long one, similar to the Glock, but also has a shorter one, that doesn't lengthen the grip, so you can still take advantage of the short frame.

Thanks, that solved my problem! I couldn`t install my Glock into the KPOS G2 Konversion Kit with the installed Beavertail Backstrap. After removing there was no problem anymore.

There is a flat spot on the black multitool that comes in the kit, that is used to push the pin out, the flat spot is used when reinserting the pin such as you used the flat part of the table. thanks for the vid!

We use the retainer pin removal tool at our gun shop to re-install the retainer pin. Install your favorite backstrap, slide retainer pin tool through left side of hole, then slide retainer pin through hole using retainer pin tool as a guide for the pin. Simple solution to the installation.

What about the Early Gen4s...It appears & I've heard the current Gen4s have an indenture molded into the top of the grip tang for the set of beavertail to snap into. Will these fit the early designed frames without that fitment? I've read that they fit poorly (loose) & can't snap into grip tang properly.

its an alignment issue.I have seen way to many people online with how too video's of changing the back straps and every single video had issues getting the hole lined up with the extra back straps.Is there other back straps that will add packing to the top pf the grip by the beaver tail with out adding anything to the bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of the handle?I need to change the angle of my wrist in my grip on the firearm.

Nice video, but I have to say, the system that Glock chose for using additional backstraps is not really very practical. I have a Glock 17 Gen 4 FS and would like to have a beavertail on it, just to be able to grip higher, as you mentioned in den beginning of the video. I installed the 2mm backstrap on my Gen 4 and the grip size is to large for my hands, so I had to take it off again. Other firearm brands, such as CZ with the P07 and P09, or HK will have fully interchangable backstraps. I would have liked to be able to change the original backstrap on the Gen 4 to a eavertail, without increasing the actual grip size. greets from germany

Check to see if it has the little notch on the back/top of the existing 'beavertail, it's where the beavertail clips into, my Gen 4 G26 has the notch for it but didn't come with the beavertail kit, gotta order it seperate as they hadn't started including the 4-piece kit, but it will accept it, this was ordered Feb 2013, my G4 G21 from mid-2012 does NOT have the notch, might try and order a set for it and improv something shy of supegluing it...... But if it work's better, I have no problem making it permanent! Hope yours has the notch, now I am actually considering upgrading to a newer G4 G21 as I think it would REALLY improve the big .45, does on my FDE G4 34 and G30, and can't wait to get it in for my G26!

You should start at top. You had gap at beaver tail.

This does not work perfectly with all gen 4s. The later versions have a small molded tab at the back of the frame where the top of the beavertail snaps into. Older one do not. Without the tab, the strap does fit but the beavertail flexes. The gripforce is stiffer and won't flex like the glock factory part. So that's an option, however I prefer the looks of the original glock backstrap.

Just bought this one thinking backstrap can be interchangeable with other sizes like my Springfield XDM 40 but naaah. This is just an excuse not to innovate the grip size. Beaver tails are useless piece of shhht their plastic rear/ front sight or the trigger..Glock is not reading nor listening complaints from their fanbase. Nothing new here other than fatter slide assy and recoil.
