I know this is an incredibly complex piece of machinery, and that it may very well take 20 people with different areas of expertise to properly describe all of the features, but I think a single person could have done this in 3 minutes.

Gun is clear and locked open. On a technicality - when 'treating a gun as if it's loaded' the other rule is 'don't point it at anything you don't intend to destroy' ?

Have everything from a Gen 1 - Gen 4. All these improvements don't help you in self defense. Most encounters are within 7 feet. Waiting for the next gen with the cup holder.

I’ve seen gen 5 barrels and slides that show more wear after only about 250 rounds, than older gen 3/4 with triple that amount of rounds. What’s up with that? Does it just wear faster?

Being lefty, Gen 5 truly IS revolutionary! I ran the Gen 4 G26 with a G17 backup mag for over a decade EDC, bit moving the the Gen 5 this year has made all my training drills SO much easier! I don't notice the barrel being any better and i personally miss the finger grooves, bit habe a TRULY, FULLY ambidextrous pistol is worth everything. Ill be buying anothwr G26 gen 5 and probably a G19 gen 5 too... gifting to our son the Gen 4s.

Being a lefty and a first time Glock owner(Glock 19 Gen 5 mos fs) I would have loved to see the ambidextrous slide stop lever on the slimline Glock 43, 43X and 48. I’ve been told that the magazine release is reversible on the slimline models though.

Already videos of failures with the gen 5 on the web. Personally I have a few glocks and I just purchased the gen 5 G-19 and I have had no problems so far I think glocks are great guns so i haven't been concerned with the gun media about the failures I've seen all types of great guns have minor failures. That doesn't mean that generation of guns are bad maybe some type of issue with that certain firearm. Thanks for the video guys makes me more confidant that I made a good buy again

California has draconian gun laws in which gun manufactures have to have a chamber loaded indicator on them. I highly doubt Glock will put them on their firearms.

DLC IonBond is the best finish hands down. Thinnest and most durable vs that thickness. It's not a spray paint baked on coating like an outdoor grill! It is a vapor finish applied in a vacuum and looks amazing, even with fingerprints. I'll be buying one as soon as I'm home. I can't wait.

The nPVD finish on the 19X is the best finish for Glock in 25 years since the bomb proof generation 2 Glocks. Love the 19X.

This video could definitely use some improvements. In order to make me want to buy a gen 5 glock, (as opposed to earlier models) this is what it's going to take: - Look at the camera when you speak- Don't act nervous- Give me the facts, not a bunch of bad acting and bs- There are more than just a few design changes. Please explain them all, and why they make the gen 5 better. (Probably someone from engineering management)- Lose the accent. (For the purpose of this video) Try to sound somewhat intelligent.- Make one video, not a compilation of several short clips.

It allows you to have a proper grip along any point of the pistol, best noticed when you unholster and don't have to "find" the grooves on the gun, you have a decent grip from top to bottom.

Still sticking with gen 3, nothing about the 4 or 5 is a big enough improvement to make me feel a need to change. Land and groove barrel? Harder to clean than polygonal and it produces lower velocities...how is that a step forward? Big deal it can shoot cast rounds now.

Took years to go back to the no finger grooves like the gen1, ambidextrios slide stop, new paint job, different barrel, front Serrations, a magwell oh and let's not forget those great plastic 😀 sights.. I own a Glock 17 Glock 22 and the Glock 43. Ambidextrous slide stop is a good idea. But you should also incorporate an ambidextrous mag release. I like Glock because it's tough I want more out of the firearm. Maybe something with a hammer.

I am more interested in the internal changes and upgrades only. Secondly here in 2020 what is the hold up with the gen5 22 & 23? The hype by the FBI about the 40sw is and always was BS, the demand for the gen5 40sw is high since scores of law enforcement agencies still use the 40sw and issue it, also scores of citizens/the public want and are demanding this pistols production and release asap. If Glock does not get the pistol to market very very soon 40sw users will go will the competition.

Glock won’t read this I’m sure but here it goes. I don’t care for that cut in the front of the grip for ripping out a magazine. Should have put two half moon cuts on the sides of the grip so peoples pinky finger doesn’t slip off the front. Also, the magwell has been flared out but there are still plenty of hang up points (the rear portion where everyone puts a plug and on the front strap where the new magazine rip cut is) on the inside of the magwell!! Fill in that empty space and create a smooth magazine well with no hang ups. The rest of the gun is fine for the most part. BUT, It needs to be fixed... it’s not like anyone’s life depends on it or anything (sarcasm)😒. It wouldn’t hurt to get the input from well known professional trainers in the industry as well.

I don't get the improvements? How is the barrel going to make beginners shoot more accurate? I know nobody who outshoots the gun so a more accurate barrel doesn't do a thing. I have never had a problem with the current slide finish. Real improvements I see are the magwell, ambidextrous slide release and the new sights, maybe the removal of the finger grooves is better voor LE but they fit my hands perfect

I do not like the Orange follower-its just going to get smoky and dirty and will never clean up to look like it was when new-they could have used orange on the lower part of the follower to see how many rounds were in the mag but use black on the top side

What what I like about the Glock 105 they put a real good finish on the slide also the trigger is much better the Barrow it's been improved for better shooting that's why the FBI went into the Glock 19 Gen 5 and now they just upgraded to the Glock 23 Gen 5 fantastic guns smitten Weston came out with the MN p 2.0 it's just the big bulky gun rough on your hands and their service department is horrible people wait four to six months to get their gun back

Adam, you are exactly correct. I was told by the Glock officials that they wanted to keep that horrible trigger guard the same for holster compatibility between Gen 1-4 and Gen 5, but the Gen 5 doesn't fit in any of the Gen 1-4 holsters I have. The ambidextrous slide stop jams up in every holster I tried. Glock doesn't have their act together as much as the propaganda makes us believe. They couldn't design a correct trigger guard, even if they tried. They didn't try. They know better than us customers.. It is a shame when Springfield with their Croatian XD/XDM/XDS pistols has a functional trigger guard, and Glock doesn't.
