Of course, very different from a dog that’s simply untrained and aggressive- that’s a liability. A proper protection dog only turns up when it needs to. Out command is crucial, to prove to the police or court that you used reasonable force and made the effort to control your dog. Untrained dogs can go for the target then redirect on an innocent person who happens to be nearby, which you don’t want. Also a sound general temperament is crucial. Important if you ever need to use the dog for protection, and then the police come after- if the dog is showing aggression to everyone including the police, it won’t look good and won’t help you fight it’s case to prove it was only defending its owner and home. Reactivity and aggression to its own family, children or even strangers but non-threatening ones is frowned upon for a well trained protection dog. They also need to have mastered the basics ie sit, stay, down, heel, recall etc before going onto protection specific training. A lot of idiots try and protection train at home without professional guidance before their dog is barely even trained in the basics.

I have a question pls. Obviously he's been trained to do this, what is the trigger when he attacks, is it a command or th action of someone trying to hurt you as in the weapon or the action of attacking, he knows both of you in the video but attacks you both. What is he like in every day life, I know they are full on dogs, does he have a softer side especially with kids 😊😊😊 thankyou
