I think Bjork's version may be my favourite. It's far more desperate and painful. You can hear her despair in every note. Beautiful

Sometimes I think listening to a extremely depressing song is a remedy of suicidal ideation. It gives you the feeling of being released or banished, but at the same time, hook you with this vivid beauty, compel you to live and listen to it again and again.

When I'm deep in depression, I have to hear this song. I know that the sun will shine for me again, even when I can't believe it for now.

A real surprise, this song is incredibly beautiful. Bjork comes through (yet again). She is excellently paired with Mark Isham on trumpet, with Vince Mendoza conducting his own arrangement. This performance is from a benefit concert held at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles to raise money for Don Henley's Walden Woods.

i love how you can hear the pain of a lost loved one in her voice. whether she has really felt that or not, she interperrets that emotion very well.

I want somebody to make a 6 hour montage of pictures of Bjork with her music in the background. She is so beautiful and so is her music.

This is such an amazing cover. She should've made a studio version!

A hungarian folk song, done by Billie Holliday, Sarah Brightman, and Bjork. A classical piece of music that will never die. Long live soul.

Get through each minute as it comes... don't even try to take it "one day at a time" at first. Just one minute at a time. But that will help you get through each day as it comes, one after another... And one day you'll wake up and find the pain is a little less biting. And then you will start feeling that way on more and more days. You're not alone man, many of us have been through immense heartache-- thats why songs like this exist. You'll come out the other side eventually, I promise.

The original song is Hungarian. As a native Hungarian, I can tell that perhaps Björk's version is the closest to the original's intentions...
