Interesting topic. I was born in the mid sixties so I wasn't subjected to the flood that has inundated the younger generation. Harry's ideas made me think of Maurice Bardèche's writing in 'Nuremburg or the Promised Land'. Yockey and Syberberg likewise saw the homogenizing tendency of the post war ideology. I think it's useful to see ourselves as living under ideological occupation like Eastern Europeans under the Soviet regime. I'm watching some of the dissident Czech New Wave films like Valerie and Her Week of Wonders and the puppet films of Jan Švankmajer. I would agree with your estimate of 20 years of intensified agenda pushing. It was never so aggressive before but it was always there. Anyway my advice on deglooping is to seek out stuff produced in East Europe where they were subjected to a similar programming and found ways to resist culturally.

I think films like Poor Things are doing the same sort of high culture resistance today..

Excellent comment and advice. I think I dropped the ball there, as I had a list of more tips for deglooping and seeking films from distant places as well as distant times was definitely in there (alongside more pub time). I don't know Yockey or Syberberg's writings, but way back Wagner had a similar idea in his now notorious essay - essentially the financial control and collaboration of one group prioritised and enabled the cultural domination of more homogenised, less innovative and blander commercialised music. There's a striking parallel, though in this talk Gloop was primarily about an international process - however the national version is usually the precursor.

With apologies to Patrick Batman for missing your superchat; "Morgoth Review's vids 'Folk Memory And The Likely Lads' and 'Tyneside, Brutalism & The Get Carter Car Park'talk about the Glooping of my home." I remember the first one well - the architectural aspect of glooping is it's own tragedy. The push to university enrolment did a similar thing - move everyone out of their hometowns and make them Goodhart's 'Anywhere' people. Thanks again for the superchat.

Those vids strike close to home because i live round those areas. Seeing the character stripped away and replaced with cost effective mediocrity cuts deep. I remember during college it was expected that everyone would move away to London. My college took us on a trip to London (back when colleges had the money for that) and our lecturer took us to the 'advanced art college/uni' or whatever it was called. Saw guys i knew from previous years there and they look absolutely miserable, their smile and optimism: Gone. I never moved to London and I'm glad. I like where i live and i have a good relationship with my family so count me out.

Thanks Jay, you're welcome. Many good folk have noticed this I think, so I hoped to give it some vocabulary. Harry is always a delight and eloquent - he also has very different focuses to me, hence the great stuff on metal and music.

@@ProperHorrorshow Harry's spot on about metal. As a youngster, my liberal relatives would ridicule metal at every turn. They'd say Metal was misogynist, yet when I'd bring up hip hop, hands were waved and excuses given 🤔 Sad to say, all the conservatives I know are Gloop addicts.

Great stream and inspirational stuff but I'm not eating brawn, trotters, jellied eel, tripe, cow heel. I am thoroughly ashamed of the conduct of some of my ancestors in the culinary department.

Those meals you listed make only a fraction of British cuisine. There are also Northern and Western European cuisines to chose from that bear similarities to English cuisine that you might prefer. Also many pubs now will incorporate elements of foreign cuisine into their meals, so you can have the option of supporting a British owned establishment but also have more leeway in terms of how you like your food.

Also, you mock your ancestors for these meals but are you aware all of those meals you mentioned were popular amongst the working class? I doubt they had the time or means to “improve” their culinary skills considering their lives were impoverished.

I hope it didn't come off as me mocking them. The book I mentioned 'Good Things In England' is amazing for having recipes using those ingredients. I think some ingredients would be aesthetically difficult for people now (i.e. they would find the idea too unappealing), but in time could be readopted - I'd like to think a proper English pub would make the most of cow tongue and brawn in a pie or hotpot and everyone would win.

if you want to 'de-gloop' your speech, then how about you stop saying 'anglo' when you mean english or british, or of english heritage or british heritage. Outside of the context of international treaties, it just makes you sound like a foreign 16 year old who learnt history from wikipedia articles and paradox games. Most internet speak and 4chanisms should be done away with aswell, the most blatant being based, redpilled, zoomer(and else anything to do with the american generations which only seems to be useful as a divide and conquer tool of our enemies), cringe, etc.

Harshly phrased, but not wrong. It's one of the key points of the stream that I hoped to convey: we've been dunked in the gloop so long that it's hard to untangle what's authentically English - that's why we'll have to go back quite far in our cultural diet before going forward. I'm also kicking myself for not mentioning an essential step: Going to the pub weekly at the least. The pubs will only go if we stop going.

@@ProperHorrorshowI no longer go to foreign (non European/English) cuisine restaurants or eateries, my husband I exclusively go to English oriented or owned restaurants/pubs and European cafes. Not that we have the sort of income to spare to do it often - but when we do we want all that hard earned money to go towards people with a connection to our culture and values. Every pub we go to (that isn’t a tourist trap) will in most cases have better service than any foreign restaurant. We have also started getting our free range meat from local English owned butchers. It costs more but at least the money is going towards our own and the animals we consume have not been tortured or mistreated

I like to hear that, especially going to your local Butcher. I love that! Genuinely, I think our higher standard of animal welfare is something to be extremely proud of and I'd ban the mega farms that allow mass & scale to dominate over welfare. If you ever want an alternative, there's a site called Primal Meats where you can order old fashioned animal shares like 1/2 a cow, 1/2 a pig etc. It's more traditional, uses all the animal and best of all I love seeing named family farms that I'm helping to sustain. I tend to vary between 2 local butchers and them.

I see a lot of young women my age very into Eminem, who I believe is cultural phenomenon created deliberately in order deracinate White suburban youth. Whilst his lyrics can be catchy, and there is a slightly rebellious tone to his music, there isn’t anything that resonates with my lived experience as a White person.

In Frances Stonor Saunders' 'Who Paid the Piper? The CIA and the Cultural Cold War', it's very clear that music corporations have had a sociopolitical purpose for a long time. In the case of Eminem, you have a really good example of the dangers and outcomes of Gloop. Eminem wouldn't match your or my typical White experience as he grew up in an extremely glooped, majority black area. You might laugh at me for this, but he's undeniably talented and I think he's able to genuinely elevate the form of rap beyond anything it had before... but that talent is being filtered through a glooped genre. If he'd grown up in a traditional area and background, I think his talent would be making great music in a traditional form. I don't think I communicated it well in this stream, but I wanted to say that deglooping ourselves is about finding our way back to our peoples' authentic cultural forms so that we can then be authentically English/American/Irish etc. Yes, this does mean an alternate universe where Marshall Mathers is basically Gilbert & Sullivan...
