Sid Grauman's granddaughter has been my friend since 1973! She now lives with her husband in New Mexico. Her brother was a Burbank policeman for 30 years. Great video. I read Gloria's book, "Sugar Blues" when I was a teenager. Her skin was said to be radiant! She never ate sugar!

Another history filled vlog highlighting Gloria Swanson and the beautiful Million Dollar Theatre! Not only is it a treat to hear about old Hollywood but the respect and enthusiasm shown by Jordan and Adam is commendable in this fast paced, high tech world.

I remember going to the Million Dollar Theatre with my mom, siblings. A friend of the family treated us to a movie. It was the Mexican Comedian Cantinflas in Romeo & Juliet. It was in Spanish. So glad I got to say I went to a theater that once honored Gloria Swanson. Clifton’s cafeteria also has memories for me and my husband when he worked in downtown and would eat lunch at Clifton’s. Jah is so cute to watch too❣️Thanks for helping us once again relive fond childhood & young adult memories. ❤️🙏🏻🐕‍🦺🌴🎥🎬🌹⭐️✨

When I was a child Gloria gave a lecture at my school. It was about her new book. I shook her hand. She wasn't that much taller than me.

I love old Hollywood! So many thanks for always giving us the insight of these people long gone. Anything related to Valentino and his time with Hollywood including Swanson is a real treat. As for Swanson, the very fact that you mentioned her sadness that night was prophetic not just for her but for her peers. She’s one of the very few of her day to survive longer than most.

During one of the Conversancy movie festivals, I saw "Some Like It Hot" here at the Million Dollar Theater which was introduced by Tony Curtis. He stood on the Stage during the credits for the movie with his shadow on the screen before he sat down. It was a most memorable evening.

This is a gem! They Live is one of my favorite movies, better every year and I sooo get it now! My cousin is the news broadcaster that gets exploded on live TV, and I didn’t see the film until years later. He said he had fun doing his scene and was proud to get a SAG card! He really worked for CNN at the time! Ha!

Been watchin' Adam The Woo for years and in one of his recent vids he referred us to your channel. I'm so glad he did. I went, I saw, I subbed. Being an older gal, that I have a couple stories to share with you, young man. Though I am binge watching your vids this evening, I am having some allergy issues, can't sleep, yet not awake enough to give the stories the glory they deserve. I want you to know that I feel you and Adam are the best mash up of vlog teamsters that I have seen on line. You compliment each other's work because you think so much alike. Would love to see you two put together a random and occasional surprise for us and of course it would be a Spectacular event with the two of you because there is quite simply, No one like Adam The Woo and No One Like You. I have Enjoyed Adam's vids over the years and will continue to, though now I have included you and Ja in that Enjoyment. :D TY

Albert Einstein attended the opening of the Los Angeles Theater in the late 1920's. The Los Angeles Theater was the last of the great Theaters built on Broadway and everyone ate at Clifton's Cafeteria as they still do.

If I remember the story straight, the top of the Los Angeles Theater had not been completed and they went ahead with the grand opening ceremonies with Albert Einstein present. It was probably a very starry night! I don't know what the film was but it must have been a popular one of the time.

I really appreciate Your Love of old Hollywood You are a font of Information! I live in Chico California and there have been many Films shot in this area: The Original "Robin Hood" was Filmed here Bidwell Park became "Sherwood Forrest" The huge Oak Tree that Errol Flynn swings down from and says "Welcome To Sherwood Forrest" Unfortunately fell over due to Rot Local Artists made Pens and carved other pieces of Art from the Grand old Tree. A sceen from "Gone With The Wind" was Filmed here it was during the "Burning of Atlanta". In a nearby town they filmed "The Klansmen" a Pilot for a TV Show with Harry Gardino called "Monty Walsh", and the Movie "The Outlaw Josie Wells" was shot there Clint Eeastwood's horse was My Ex Father-In law's it was high spirited and it's actual name was Boogerboy because he bit those he didn't like, He did like Mr.Eastwood though. The Rice Fields just outside of town were Oriental Rice Fields in the Film "The Bidge At Tokori" There are others but I don't want to do too much chatting! Break A Leg!
